He stepped on a piece of glass which crunched under his feet making him wince.
Soundwave looked over and gave him an annoyed look.
"Quiet."
"I'm trying."
He whispered back annoyed with the stupid Decepticon. Who just turned around and ignored him. Huffing he followed him, as they snuck around. Trying not to get caught by any persecutors flying around.
They were on a supply mission searching for anything that could be useful.
Soundwave held out a hand and he stopped.
They both watched a prosecutor fly past and then waited a moment longer in case there were more.
When nothing else happened they carefully moved along. He took a step forward following Soundwave, when he tripped on something.
Soundwave grabbed him before he could fall and wrapped an arm around his waist. He felt his spark pick up and he cursed himself. Worried that Soundwave might hear.
"Be careful."
Soundwave set him on his feet and then darted across a street. He took a moment longer to center himself and then followed.
"This way."
Soundwave opened a door and they snuck inside. Looking around they searched the area for supplies.
Although they had energon at Maccadams that was the only thing they had.
He searched a drawer trying to find medical supplies or something useful. Of course it was just useless stuff from an era of peace long gone.
Looking around most of the building was destroyed either from bombs, guns shots, raiders or acid rain. It had long since been abandoned. It's inhabitants likely dead.
Looking around he shivered feeling creeped out.
"There's nothing here."
He nodded and followed Soundwave out silently. Looking around to make sure it was safe.
They went to a few more houses which were all a bust. Nothing inside except rotting fruniture and useless stuff.
"This is a waste of time. Let's get back to base."
He nodded looking around again and imagining who lived there.
When he didn't move Soundwave pulled him forward and he had no choice, but to follow.
They went back the way they came. Being careful of any prosecutors that could be in the area.
He thought they were going to make it back without a fight. When they ran into a group of prosecutors.
He cursed as they let out a loud shriek. Alerting anyone nearby.
"I thought they weren't in this area!"
He yelled as he shot at one.
"There not!"
Soundwave shouted back annoyed like usual.
"We need to get out of here!"
"I'm trying!"
He shouted looking around. Only for his spoiler to droop, as he noticed more coming.
"Look out, we have company."
The prosecutors flew at them and they shot a few. Except more kept coming until they were surrounded.
"I have an idea on how we can get out of here."
"How? We're blocked in."
Soundwave glanced at him, as he shot at a Prosecutor who got too close.
"When I say go. I need you to run in that direction."
He pointed at where a prosecutor was standing.
"There's something in my way."
"Then shoot it. Just get as far away as possible."
"Gladly."
He ignored that and began focusing on the flame inside of him. At first it started as a small fireball, which he made bigger and bigger.
Then when it was a large fire ball waiting to destroy everything in it's vicinity he shouted.
"Go!"
Giving Soundwave a few more seconds to escape. He worked on his fireball and then released it.
Immediately he felt himself catch fire. The hot flames enveloping him in a warm embrace.
Looking at the panicking Prosecutors he grinned and released his flames outwards. He watched as they get caught in the blast and tried to put themselves out. Of course he didn't let them. Sending more hot waves at them.
He moved closer to one and watched as it started to melt. Before falling to the ground and not getting back up.
One prosecutor tried to rush him and ended up being hit with flames. He watched as they fell to the floor and then attacked a few more.
He began noticing the prosecutors either died trying to fight him or they were smart enough to leave. Watching them go he felt relief. Because he'd depleted his energon and was about to go into stasis.
Just as he thought that, warnings flashed and he collapsed.
Staring at a fire nearby he noticed someone rush over. He didn't know who it was and he didn't care. He was tired and found his optics turning off, without him noticing as he passed out.
He didn't know how long he'd been out, but he assumed awhile. Waking up he moaned and shifted in the berth.
"You're awake."
"Hmm."
He turned on his optics and looked over finding Perceptor watching him.
"How did I get here?"
"Soundwave carried you."
Percy frowned giving him a worried look.
"I'm not a medic. I have know idea what flaming out did to you. Which is why you shouldn't have been so reckless."
"We didn't have a choice."
Percy frowned looking tired.
"I know. I was just worried about you. I didn't know if I was helping you or doing more harm then good.
"I'm fine Percy. I just needed energon."
"I know that much... You had us all worried."
"I'm sorry."
He gave his friend a guilty look and tried to move his arms. One moved and the other one was stuck. Worried he immediately looked down and found Soundwave.
He was sitting next to his berth holding his hand and sleeping. Which was weird. He gave Percy a confused look and the scientist just shrugged.
"I don't know. He insisted on being here when you woke up. Because he wanted to tell you off, for being so stupid. However I think he was worried about you and wanted to make sure you were okay."
He looked down and smiled a little appreciating the gesture and... Feeling something else... Something that made his spark warm."
"Not true. I wanted to tell him off for being reckless, except he was asleep for so long I decided to rest my optics."
Soundwave interrupted and he watched his optics power on.
"My mistake."
Percy rolled his optics and left them alone while Soundwave sat up.
Looking him over. He immediately noticed one of Soundwave's hands was burnt and felt guilty. Soundwave noticed and gave him a look he couldn't decipher.
"It's not your fault I should have known you'd be hot."
"I still hurt you."
"You saved both of us. Without you... flaming out. We would have been captured and put in that horrible loop. A little peeled paint is nothing in comparison. Now get some rest and stop worrying over nothing. I'm a Decepticon. Not some weak Autobot who can't handle a small injury."
Soundwave looked amused at that last part and prideful. Puffing out his chest as though he was superior.
"Right because you are superior."
"Exactly."
Soundwave stood up and he powered off his optics, quickly falling into recharge. As his spark glowed warmly.
