Brickwork soars upwards, accented by wrought steel and stained glass with jagged edges. The Maid and the Knight are shown in visions of bone and broken things.

Summary
The crux of the matter is that Kakashi’s old. By the time he finally gives up the hat, he’s nearly forty and growing older, and while he’s faced death too many times to still remember to fear it, he certainly thinks about it. He can’t help it. He blames the Nidaime — staring at Senju Tobirama’s reanimated face reminds Kakashi of everything that will die with him: his clan, their history, an entire generation. The realization leaves him unsettled, and as his body starts to ache more and more, he finds himself wishing for a world in which he isn’t so alone.
Or, Kakashi returns to the Hatake compound in an attempt to speak with his ancestors and promptly forgets that the Hiraishin is, above all else, an experimental time/space jutsu. By activating it, he finds himself in a world not quite like his own.

Chp 17. Plays w/ kinda anomalous (resistant) MC, but the events of SCP: Containment Breach are simultaneously going on. It's honestly fascinating.
I had my questions about the first chapter, but that got confirmed, later, and now I just really wanna understand the Dr. Bright deal. I THOUGHT it was an oc, because that was weird, but now it might just be huge co-incidence or something..? Ah. Parasocial obsession. That'd do the trick.
Has a few references to other pieces of SCP media.

“What’s wrong with children?” Power Joe interjects. “Yuuta is a child!”
Toudou flicks his welding shield over his face, obscuring his expression from Power Joe’s view. He cranes his neck-cabling, in an attempt to get a glimpse of what the engineer was doing— the repair bay seriously gave him the creeps.
“I didn’t mean to imply anything was wrong with them. Like anyone else, you can learn many things about society from children… I just worry that you won’t have anyone to turn to if you have any serious problems." Toudou opens a section of plating inside of Power Joe’s left leg to access the broken side-link. “If you were in danger, would you go to them for advice?”
Power Joe jerks back, jostling the engineer’s steady arm.
“Sorry!” Power Joe laughs self-consciously. “No, of course not! A lot of the things we deal with on a regular basis are pretty… scary. I would never hurt the kids.”

Someone becomes no one becomes a prince in the Land of Wind. Tensei of Sunagakure has a hit list, a god of the underworld breathing down his neck, and plenty of time to figure things out while he tries to make this house a home. Hopefully.
