The lake house was just divine. It was everything that Kathryn wanted.
It also reminded her of her cabin that her family had at Lake George.
The wind splayed her hair back. Enjoying the freedom of everything.
She felt those chocolate eyes staring at her, smiling. As he came back with some flowers that they had spotted in the forest surrounding their cabin.
They were sparkling with lust.
“These are for you.”
Chakotay handed Kathryn the flowers and she smelt them and looked up to him smiling. “They smell beautiful and look amazing. Thank you.”
Something grumbled deep within her and she felt it deep down. She wanted to avoid it, but she couldn’t. She couldn’t avoid it at all.
They were alone on the beach with their picnic blanket, watching the sunset. It was beautiful with pink, purple and orange colours. It was indescribable, nibbling on their crackers and cheese they packed.
Kathryn snuggled up closer to Chakotay.
Kathryn sighed, “This is perfect isn’t it? I wish that everyday could be like this.”
Chakotay wrapped his arm around Kathryn’s shoulders tighter.
“I wish everyday could be like this as well, but we need to get home eventually.”
“I know, just the wish seems nice.”
Kathryn turned to look into Chakotay’s eyes, sparkling with the sunset and lust.
She closed her eyes and started to kiss him on the lips. Kathryn shifted her body to lay on top of Chakotay as he laid back down on the blanket.
Out of breath Kathryn, the first to recover, “I can’t tell you how long I’ve waited to do that to you.”
Still out of breath Chakotay says, “I can tell. And it was the best kiss I’ve ever had in my life.”
Kathryn smiled and leaned in for another kiss. As they continued, their hands explored each other's bodies. Kathryn felt her heart racing as they made love for the first time.

The sun had set and they lay on their blanket, basking in the moment, until the sound of Chakotay’s stomach growling reminded them of the reality of their situation. They laughed, and Kathryn said, “Let’s get some dinner.”
