The lake.
It’s where she felt her peace.
But she wished there was more.
Wished he was there.
But underneath everything, she still felt the thrumming of the warp core.
She was only in a dream, or the holodeck. She couldn’t remember anymore.
She wished everything right now was real.
“Bridge to Captain Janeway.” Tuvok’s voice came through the com system.
Kathryn woke up with a start on the couch. She slammed her hand on her combadge on her chest quite hard. It was throbbing a little as she thought of the next words to say.
“Yes? Tuvok.”
“We are arriving at Glendosia Prime. Your shore leave is ready as well as the Commanders. Enjoy your time, Captain.”
Kathryn looked down and realised that she was in civvies and chuckled to herself.
“Thank you, Tuvok. I will enjoy my time. Janeway out.”
Grabbing her bags she made her way to Chakotay’s quarters, excited for the lake house they were going to. Pressing the chime on his door as it opened. Chakotay almost ran into her.
“Woah! I didn't expect you to be outside my door!”
“I didn’t expect you to be walking out!”
“Are you excited for the lake?”
“You bet.” Kathryn leaned into Chakotay’s ear and whispered in a sultry voice, “Chakotay.”
Chakotay closed his eyes, “Mhmm.” He leaned close to Kathryn’s ear and whispered, “The things that you make me feel, Kathryn. Are beyond any universe.”
They both giggled to the transporter room, ready for their fun on Glendosia Prime.
