Drunk Pickup

Summary:

Sayo has to pick up and take care of her drunk girlfriend.

Work Text:

Friday nights, the beginning of the weekend where students go out and have fun. Leaving behind their thoughts of school to days and nights of living it up. Worry free, laughing, hollering, talking, partying, and exploring, there’s always something to do with a few clicks and searches online.

Some others would prefer a more quiet time. Not letting the noise and pressures of others influence them to go out and about, socialize or attempt to socialize with those they have little to no interest in. Or be that one that lingers around a few select people before disappearing entirely to be alone or leave.

Sayo happens to be the latter and is alone in her apartment. Typing up her paper that’s due on Monday, she would rather get all her work done than go out and waste time on meaningless events. She looks at the heavily worded document on her screen, cross checking back on her notes from class. Nothing seemed to be wrong and everything follows the criteria given by her professor. A quick nod of acknowledgement before she stretches her arms up.

She slides back in her chair a little and gives her eyes a break from looking at the laptop screen. Moving her vision to her desk, there wasn’t anything out of place. It was neatly organized with books stacked neatly on the mini shelves. Cords for her laptop, phone, and night lamp neatly managed along the side. A few notes spread across an open spot next to her laptop. And in the left corner were two objects. One being a mini plush of Hina which was a gift from the younger twin herself. And the other being a picture frame of Sayo and Lisa of when they officially moved into the apartment together for college.

A small smile worked its way on Sayo’s face thinking back on those moments of Hina excitedly giving the gift and going on a long monologue on all the things Sayo could do with the plush. And on her and Lisa deciding where to finally live for their time within college.

Moving on to the desk beside her, there was a clear more feminine touch to it compared to her standard layout of a desk. More colorful, more make up containers, more pictures, and more decorations of little accessories and knick knacks. Yet somehow, it isn’t a mess. Sayo had to give Lisa quite a bit of credit for keeping her desk as well kept as she did. Even if there were some papers and accessories lying about.

Ringing fills the room and light flashes on her phone. ‘Must be Lisa’, she thought.

Picking up her phone, her notification was from Tomo. Curious to what it could be, Sayo answered.

“Tomo-san?”

“Hey Sayo-senpai. I’m calling to let you know that the party is supposedly over. Himari just messaged me and Lisa is with her, so I figured you’d want to pick her up.”

“That’s good to know. Thank you for the update Tomo-san, I’ll be right over.”

“No problem, I’m heading over there right now, I’ll be sure to keep watch over Lisa if I arrive first.

Sayo grabbed a light jacket and her keys and set out. The best part about the apartment she found with Lisa is that it’s only 15 minutes from campus. The party that Lisa chose to be at was just outside of it. Some worries came into Sayo’s mind during her drive. Why didn’t Lisa call? Text? Is she drunk? How drunk? What if her phone was out of batteries? Is she okay? Is she hurt? Once she gets her girlfriend home, a scolding will be waiting.

Arriving at the scene, Sayo pulls her car over and gets out. Students were leaving the party home, some were stumbling, groggy, carried, etc. Carefully scanning the field, Sayo could see a familiar tall, red headed figure. Heading her way over, she meets up with Tomo.

A quick greeting before Sayo sees Himari and Lisa leaning on each other, sitting on a bench together. They both look drunk out of their minds. Their half lidded eyes barely made out Sayo and they gave an unsteady wave. Sayo shook her head with Tomo chuckling.

Not wasting any more time, Sayo went to pick Lisa up and Tomo with Himari. But before they got too far, two students approached.

“Hey ladies you enjoyed the party?”

“Woaa, these two over here definitely let loose.”

Sayo can feel tension in her head. She hoped she didn’t have to deal with guys trying to hit on girls. Especially ones that tried it with girls that are drunk. Both girls rested their partners back on the bench.

“Hey hey hey, we can help you take your friends home.”

“We can also help relieve them of their drunkenness.”

“No thank you. We would prefer to return to our own homes.”

“Yeah, so why don’t you find some other people to bother.”

“Come on now, we can have some fun still. Just got to sober your friends up a little.”

Sleazy laughs escaped their mouths. Tomo can see the exasperation in Sayo’s face. The two guys keep pestering them in hopes to most likely score on what they deemed easy targets.

“I’m going to ask you two again to leave, please.” Tomo asked more assertively, turning and staring down the strangers, hoping to put some intimidation into them.

“We’re being gentlemen here, we are worried for your friends’ safety. Why can’t you just…”

“We said no! Now leave!” Sayo turned around this time, her anger leaking out.

“Fucking bi….ah shit its killjoy Hikawa!” Once they had a clear look at the face, they immediately recognized Sayo.

“L-let’s just leave man. Anybody that’s friends with her is lame.” The two guys quickly leave, losing interest now that they know it was Sayo.

Tensions dissipated from Tomo and Sayo, their figures relaxing with the annoyances gone.

“Wow, you famous here Sayo-senpai?”

“Apparently I’m a killjoy. Doesn’t bother me much.”

“Hahaha, for a sec, I thought we’d have to get a little physical.”

“While I am thankful for learning some self-defense, I don’t think Imai-san would like it if she knew I got into a fight. I imagine Uehara-san would be the same.”

“Can’t argue there, but it’s the things we do for our partners right?”

“Good point. Let’s get going before someone else tries to pick us up.”

Finally, Sayo and Tomo picked their respective partners up and helped them back to the cars. One more thank you and a goodbye before the couples went their own ways home. In the car, Sayo made sure Lisa was buckled up and head rested comfortably for the ride. It was made difficult with Lisa somewhat still awake and swaying around.

“Sayo! Th…thas…kyu…for pic…picking me up. Sorry~ for not…clling you.”

“Um yeah, we can discuss this later. For now, let’s get you home Lisa.”

The drive home wouldn’t be bad, if it wasn’t for Lisa trying to cling onto Sayo. Safety is priority number one on Sayo’s list when she got her driver’s license. She made sure all members of Roselia knows it since she’s the main driver for them. And what Lisa doing now, trying to cuddle and sneak smooches in, is against that standard of safety Sayo wants.

Sayo repeatedly have to shrug Lisa off and remind her to behave while they’re on the road. It took a few minutes of constant retort before Lisa finally behaved and sat quietly for the ride home.

Once they got home, Sayo put Lisa’s arm over her shoulder as she assisted her through the apartment. Helping take off her shoes before they made their way to the bedroom.

“Sayo~, you’re so hot right now.”

Through the living room and into the bedroom, Sayo stood Lisa up as best she could. Lisa mistook this as something more and put her arms around Sayo’s neck.

“Smoochies.”

Lisa kisses Sayo on the lips and the lingering alcohol was strong still, stinging her senses.

Sayo pushes Lisa back and starts to undress her.

“Oh! Lookit that. Sayo beings so perverted. Hehehe.”

Lisa gleams a smile at Sayo undressing her. The idea of Sayo being forward with her desires always fascinates her.

“Just undress Lisa. We got to get you to bed.”

“Whaaaaat? It’s still, still, early.”

“No no, bed, now.”

Sayo lifts Lisa’s crop top off and the undershirt. Then she sat Lisa down to slip her skirt off. Lisa took the chance to wrap her legs around Sayo and try to pull her onto the bed with her. The mint wasn’t having it and held Lisa off.

“C’mon, we can have some fun before bed.”

“Lisa, you know how I feel about us doing this while inebriated. It won’t be good for the both of us. So please, get some sleep.”

“Boooo.” Lisa pouts like a child at the rejection.

Sayo releases a deep sigh and goes to get a water bottle from the nightstand. She assists Lisa in drinking some water. After which she got Lisa to lay down. She stayed by the bedside and provided her hand for warmth. It was better than nothing and Lisa held it, rubbing it for a few moments. Sayo returned the affection and gently stroked Lisa’s cheek. Eventually she falls asleep.

A smirk rose in the corner of Sayo’s mouth, seeing Lisa finally at peace. Carefully removing her hand, Sayo adjusted Lisa’s position on her side and pulled the cover over her body just below her shoulders. Once small kiss on the cheek, then a bucket was procured and placed on the side of the bed. For tonight, Sayo decided to sleep on the couch.

Morning rose, and Lisa groggily woke up. She rubbed her head trying to keep the pain in control. When her vision cleared, she saw she was back in her room and in her underwear. Taking a moment to gather herself, she took the time to try and think through what happened. Nothing risky or dangerous as far as she recalls. Himari was with her most of the time and Sayo took her home. Everything seemed to be okay from her recollection.

When ready, Lisa got off the bed and made her way out into the living room/kitchen combo. She heard some clanging and water boiling. Upon fully stepping into the kitchen, there was Sayo at the stove making something.

“Hmmm? Oh, morning Lisa. Are you okay to be walking around?” Sayo asked, looking for only a bit before getting her focus back to the cooking.

“I think…I’m good. Yeah. Ummm, did I do anything weird or embarrassing while I was drunk?”

“…Not that I recall. Maybe you could try contacting Uehara-san and see if she remembers anything. All I did was come to take you back home.”

“Alright, I’ll ask her later in the day. What are you making?”

“Some miso soup. I figured this will help you out in case you have a hangover.”

While stirring the soup, arms wrap around the waist of the cook. The giver nuzzles her face into the crook of the recipient’s neck. A momentary pause in the cooking before she went back to stirring.

“You’re so sweet Sayo.”

“It’s nothing much. I’m just doing my part.”

Once finished with the soup, Sayo let it rest. Lisa breaks off the hug and the two made their way out of the kitchen before facing each other. Lisa can see a slight sternness in Sayo’s look. Maybe there was something that bothered her.

“Is…something the matter?”

“Just make sure to have your phone charged and message me. It be troubling if you couldn’t contact me when there’s a problem.”

Sayo pulls out Lisa’s phone which she completely forgot about.

“I’m so sorry, it won’t happen again.”

Lisa replied remorsefully. Making Sayo worry was not what she planned for when going to the party. She wanted to hug Sayo again to erase it. When she went in, Sayo kept her at arms’ length. Strange. Why is she avoiding a hug when she accepted it earlier? And whats with her look, like she just fighting back something. Her brows were furrowed, and lips partially sucked in.

“Do you, not want a hug?”

“You’ll have to excuse me Lisa. As much as I would love to indulge in physical contact with you, being out of the kitchen now made me realize something.”

“Yes?” Curious as to what it was.

“You need a bath. You reek of booze.”

Lisa tensed up and can feel her face heat up red. She ran off into the bathroom, not sure if the sting of stinking or being told she stunk so bluntly by Sayo stung more.

Sayo stood in the living room. She folded her arms and closed her eyes in thought.

‘Maybe I should’ve said that in a more gentle way. I’ll have to apologize once she’s done.’
