Summary
Alek Gwilym once tried to convince Strahd that siring a child was like holding your own immortality in your hands. Since then, Strahd has secured a different kind of immortality for himself, and Alek... Alek is dead.
So then what manner of ghost is this which haunts the streets of Vallaki, in the uncanny likeness of his late steward?
(Takes place within Chapter Seven of "I, Strahd" and the intervening years between that and the beginning of Chapter Eight. First-person Strahd POV.)
