   Summary

   “I was so desperate to be loved,” even when he kept that smile, a creeping dread overtook his words. “After I lost Betty…I loved her so much that I needed anything to…”

   Putting her hands inside of the green backpack, Fionna leaned in closer into the campfire as Simon tried to salvage his attempts to clear tension.

   “I did anything for it. I did a lot of stupid things just so I could feel loved.
   Which includes why I felt needed..Like I needed t-to write about you..”

   With Fionna’s hands tucked into the backpack, she felt a familiar block of pages sitting at the bottom. Her fingers ran across the paper, tucking her hands into it as if it were yet another bag to tuck herself into.

   Preventing the page flipping from being audible, Fionna started with a mutter, “I mean…I did stupid things for love too.”
