    Lawrence made another soft noise and Adam grinned as he felt him pull him closer, lifting the blankets slightly to allow them to press together better. He craned his neck a little, pressing a gentle kiss to the bridge of the man’s nose. His hand wandered, tracing a line down the man’s neck to his chest, fluffing up the hair there and lingering on the smooth, slightly raised skin of the man’s chest scars. He felt the man inhale slightly, sharply, and stopped.

    “This okay?”

    Some days it wasn’t, which was perfectly fine with Adam. God knew that he had his days where he couldn’t bear to be looked at, to be touched. He knew that Lawrence’s relationship with his body was a complicated one, and he waited for the man to answer patiently.
