Summary
Argyle wasn't sure what he was expecting when he jumped into a strange portal to save Jonathan, a boy whom he'd been in love with for months, a boy he'd followed into the literal apocalypse. A boy forever in love with Nancy Wheeler. He had hoped for something painless, but when he wakes, he finds himself in California in November 1983, a full 3 years in the past and in a world that has no idea what's about to hit it in a few years and Will Byers has just vanished into thin air.
Yeah, not what he was imagining. But, since he's here, he might as well make the most of it.
He hops in his van and does what he's always done for the past year. He goes to Jonathan.
He's determined to stop the disaster before it starts and save Will while he's at it. But, considering that no one in Hawkins even knows that the Upside Down is a thing, never mind any understanding of Vecna's whole deal, AND no one in Hawkins has any clue who he is, including the boy his heart belongs to, he has his work cut out for him.
