Notes:

Hello! I'm pleased to meet you :3 It's my first fic in AO3 hope you'll like it, I hope that I'll find time and interest to keep writing but till then, I hope you'll enjoy it.
Also, I'm writing at my own pace and I don't have specific time for publishing chapters, although I'll try to stay active.

In addition, I must add that this fic is inspired by works within AO3 where some scenarios will sometimes begin like one you could already know although I got the idea from there I'm making the scenes different. While the specific sources unfortunately elude my memory, I want to credit the creators who contributed to the tapestry of this fandom, so thank you so much.

Chapter 1: Prolougue

Chapter Text

Sakura Park, Musutafu

The pervasive absence of a quirk had always defined Izuku Midoriya's life. The echoes of laughter and mockery from his childhood friend, Katsuki Bakugo, and his goons, reverberated in his ears as he stood battered in the aftermath of another beating.
"Deku! what did we tell you about trying to be a hero?! you're just quirkless, useless Deku"
That was the last thing Izuku heard before the group walked away smirking at each other, leaving Izuku and the crying boy next to him alone. A minute later, the boy left Izuku too.

Half an hour later

'Useless' Izuku thought to himself while getting up slowly.
As Izuku dusted himself off and prepared to go home, he noticed on a not-too-far bench, a white-haired man with green eyes that could match his own sitting there and grimacing while looking around slowly.
Curious, Izuku cautiously approached the man and asked: "Are you okay mister?"

The white-haired man's eyes widened as he inspected the child before him, "Are you talking to me?" He nods, "am I not supposed to?" Izuku's eyes widened as he saw a bit through the white-haired person "Do you have an invisibility quirk?!canyouturnitoffandonorIcanseethroughyouasasideeffect-"Izuku kept on mumbling.

As Izuku continued his mumbling, Yoichi Shigaraki observed the child with a mixture of intrigue, wariness, and scrutiny. Though invisible to the world, Yoichi could perceive the subtle shifts in the air around him when Izuku spoke.
"You have a perceptive mind, young one. But sometimes, mysteries are meant to be unraveled in their own time," Yoichi cryptically replied, a subtle acknowledgment of the enigma at play.

Izuku, undeterred by the mysteries surrounding his words, continued with a more innocent curiosity. "What do you mean?"
As Yoichi pondered, he noticed something peculiar- a faint glimmer of green light dancing around Izuku's small form when he spoke as his eye's color turned from green to a brighter shining pair. The realization struck him subtly, like a distant echo. "Life is full of surprises," Yoichi replied while giving a timid smile, his eyes scanning the surroundings.

Flashback

In the quiet corners of kindergarten, where all the kids were sitting together laughing, Izuku sat there alone. But he was still happy nonetheless. Yoichi Shigaraki became a silent companion to young Izuku Midoriya. Unbeknownst to anyone, Yoichi, affectionately called "Yoyo" by Izuku, appeared during Izuku's solitary moments, offering a comforting presence and genuine interest.

One sunny afternoon, as Izuku sat playing with his hero's figurines, Yoyo materialized with a mischievous smile. "Hey there, Izuku! Need some civilians to rescue?"

Wide-eyed, Izuku looked around, half expecting others to see his newfound friend. He whispered while glancing nervously around, "Can't they see you, Yoyo-ji?"Yoyo chuckled, his laughter carrying a warmth that went beyond the visible spectrum. "Don't worry, Izu-kun. Only you can see me. Though don't tell any of your friends my identity as your uncle, but I'll be more than happy to keep you company."Izuku, his skepticism momentarily forgotten, beamed with joy.

"Really? You're like my secret friend! "Yoyo nodded, the bond between them strengthening with each shared moment. "We're more connected than you think, Izuku. One day, I'll tell you the whole story. But for now..." He wavered a villain's figurine while Izuku whisper-yelled, "Halt, villain! Why? Because I am here!"
