Dear Diary,

My new roommate stared at me for the entire time I moved in. He just watched me make my bed and stuff. I left as soon as I could but if I die in my sleep and you’re a police officer reading this you know who killed me.

Kalluto's roommate is Very Concerned. Is it normal for eleven-year-olds to disappear for days at a time and return with priceless stolen artifacts?

Notes:

(You can absolutely read the majority of this as a silly little comedy without having read the rest of the series, but plot comes into play at some points which you will not understand at all! So, I recommend reading at least Run x Away and Let's make a house out of paper mache first.)

Reading tips:
- pay attention to dates
- don't read at 3 am
- if you haven't read the other works in this series, in this AU the Zoldycks are special military personnel instead of assassins

8/31/2000

Dear Diary, 

I’m so excited for my first day at Hunter Academy tomorrow! I’ve been super busy packing and I’m totally nervous but mom and dad say it’ll be fine. I know it’s where Dad went to school and all but it’s still going to be totally new for me. All my friends from fifth grade are going to public school, so I won’t know anyone at all. 

I’m excited to meet my roommate! The letter H.A. sent me said his name is Kalluto Zoldyck. I think he might be related to the famous Zoldycks, the ones that are on the news sometimes? Maybe Kalluto knows the President! All his family are in the military, I wonder what that’s like?

Oops I just realized I forgot to pack a pillow. Gotta go

Dear Diary, 

I met my roommate and he definitely hates me. I walked in and he was already moved in and stuff, and I said hi but he just glared at me and his eyes are really creepy. like seriously creepy. All he said was “so you’re the one who will be sharing this accommodation?” not kidding that’s what he said. I said yeah and tried to start a conversation but I was kind of terrified because he’s kind of terrifying. I did find out that he actually skipped a grade. I think that’s worse, if someone is scary I think it’s worse if they’re smart scary.
