"Look who's back from work today!" A familiar voice called out.
Last thing Cyno remembers was getting in with his key after the door didn't answer, removing his shoes and heading towards the bedroom to have a nap, closing the curtains and leaving the case somewhere on the floor.
Laying on his stomach he opens his eyes to make sure the voice was there. And there he is, sitting on the edge of the bed, giggling from the silly smile that creeped up Cyno's face.
He scooted over the bed to reach him, tail wagging uncontrollably. A kiss on the cheek before he asked softly "Why didn't you tell me you were coming home today?"
Tighnari's touch was so comforting Cyno had to fight going back to sleep to answer him slowly "I felt it was too much. My phone was dead anyway."
Tighnari hummed with a gaze that bellowed with adornment, reflecting the very dim light of the nightstand. He was still in his outerwear, must have only recently come back home.
How long has it been since Cyno was out? A fortnight, but it always feels like eternity when it passes without seeing his “Nari's” face.
Tighnari gets up from the bed sighing "Well, I guess that means I'll have to prepare a bath; after I shower of course, you weren't the only one who just came from work."
He turns off the lights as he heads towards the door, eyes still smiling "I'll wake you up once dinner is ready, ok?"

And he's left alone again. Left with a smile of warmth that cannot be seen in the dark; it was home.
