Kipo pressed her face into the cold glass of the kitchen window. Snowflakes were falling from the sky and Kipo observed them with fascination. It was her first winter on the surface. She could barely contain her excitement to finally get to experience snow for the first time. She was already dressed in winter clothing, waiting for her family to finish getting dressed.
Wolf sat down beside her, glaring at the snow clouds. When she was a survivor, the winter was her least favorite season for obvious reasons. Now, she could get to enjoy the snow with her family.
"I can't wait to go outside! There's already a layer on the ground!" Kipo bounced on her knees in excitement and Wolf rolled her eyes fondly.
"It's just snow, Kipo. It's not that amazing", Wolf commented, but her sister didn't agree.
"It's my first winter on the surface, Wolf! I've never seen snow before!" she reminded and Wolf just shrugged.
When the rest of their family finally finished getting dressed, Kipo was acting like a dog before going out on a walk.
"Hurry up! What if it stops snowing?" Kipo voiced her worries and Song laughed.
"Don't worry, sweetie. It won't stop snowing for the next few hours", she reassured, although it didn't calm her daughter down in the slightest.
Lio opened the door and Kipo was the first one to go outside. Her boots made shoe prints in the snow, which made her smile. Tiny snowflakes quickly fell onto her face and Kipo leaned her head up towards the sky yo watch them fall. She stuck her tongue out to catch a snowflake on it, and when she succeeded, she giggled happily.
Her family was enjoying it too, watching the snow in awe. Kipo cheered as she ran around, wanting to just be able to stay outside in the snow forever.
Although she had only been outside for a few minutes, she was already sure that the winter was one of her favorite seasons.
