Notes:

Hi, this is my first time posting a fic here. I've wanted to do this for a long time, but I just had time to do it now. Hope you guys enjoy!

Reminder that I wrote this fic with the help of translation since English is not my main language, so if there are writing errors I'm sorry.

Chapter Text

“This is Gojo Satoru, your personal bodyguard.”

Now is the summer vacation before entering the 2nd grade of junior high school. Suguru was having breakfast contently and suddenly his father came and spouted nonsense out of nowhere.

“Father, you’re kidding aren’t you?”

Certainly, he doesn’t need a bodyguard because he can look after himself with his martial arts skills. Indeed, he only started training in the 1st grade of junior high school, which was a year ago, but he was often praised by his teachers. He was also able to compete evenly against his seniors who were 2 years older than him. Clearly, he didn’t need anyone to protect him.

"I'm serious, Suguru. From now on, he will accompany and protect you from any danger."

"I don't understand why I need a bodyguard, isn't father the one who supports me in martial arts so I can protect myself?"

"Lately, there have been a lot of strange things happening within the company. Just in case something happens to you out there,” said his father worriedly.

His father is the owner of a large company. With the rise of the name ‘Geto' in the business world recently, of course there are more and more competitors that don’t want to lose. They used all means to bring down his father’s company, including spreading false gossip that pushed the public’s view of his father’s company in a bad direction. Who knows what other dirty tricks they will come up with.

He understood where his father’s worries came from, but that didn’t mean he was happy about this.

“Okay… I understand,” Suguru sigh, resigned to his fate.

“I’m glad. How about a brief introduction? Boy, introduce yourself,” said his father to the boy next to him.

“My name is Gojo Satoru, 16 years old. I can do many things, so please tell me if there is anything young master wants me to do,” the boy spoke.

Suguru finally take a look at the boy next to his father after ignoring his presence before. He has snow white hair as well as eyes the color of sky and the deepness of sea. He felt he could drown in it if he didn’t look away, he looked away. He seems like an arrogant kid who only talks big. He doubted he could protect himself let alone anyone else. “It's best to discuss the matter privately, now I should just act as what father expects,” Suguru thought.

“I’m Geto Suguru, 13 years old. Pleased to have you here,” Suguru replied a little sarcastically.

Gojo seemed aware of the hostility directed at him. However, his father smiled, unaware of the tension in the air. He bid farewell to Suguru because he had a meeting with a prospective client, leaving him and Gojo alone.

After finishing breakfast, he stood up and washed the dishes. Then, he turned to Gojo. "Listen, I definitely don’t need a bodyguard, so you’re just here to make my father feel at ease. Keep your distance from me and don’t invade my privacy,” Suguru said with finality and of course, Gojo refused.

“I'm sorry, but I can't comply, young master. Your safety comes first and in order to do so I must be in your vicinity,” Gojo said definitely.

Suguru couldn’t believe this. What could a weak looking boy like this do? Even though he is 3 years older than him. But that didn’t change the fact that he was weaker than him. He bets he can beat Gojo easily. Suguru didn’t realize that he said what was on his mind out loud before it was too late.

Gojo grinned, “how about a bet, young master? If I can win against you in sparring then you’ll let me do my job and if I lose then I’ll resign on my own.”

Suguru hated that arrogant expression and he definitely didn't want to appear like a coward in front of this boy. He never imagined he would lose to Gojo, so he agreed confidently.

"Damn, I lost," Suguru admitted reluctantly. He was pinned to the floor by Gojo while panting heavily, tired after the sparring session earlier. With Gojo wearing a tight black t-shirt instead of the bodyguard uniform earlier, he looked heavenly. His t-shirt hugging his muscles perfectly, his muscular and veiny forearms grasping his hands next to his head, and his Adam's apple bobbing every time he speaks. Everything is clearly visible from this close distance. After a while, he wondered why Gojo didn't say something. He looked up and found that Gojo caught him studying his body and he blushed hard. He looked away quickly. Trying to break the weird tension, he asked, "how can you be that strong?"

There was a moment’s pause before Gojo released his tight grip and helped Suguru to his feet. “You’re not bad either, young master. With some experience you’ll get stronger in no time,” Gojo answered somewhat absentmindedly.

Suguru realized that he had not said that he could defeat him in the future when he had become stronger. Implied that he would never be able to surpass him. “How arrogant.”

"I'll hold my end of the bet, but don't go too far.”

He hoped he wouldn’t regret this.
