Summary
Jin Ling has always loved the ways in which Jiang Cheng showed him affection, growing up.
Hugs were somewhat rare, especially as he got older, but always treasured, and never withheld when Jin Ling truly needed them. Casual touches were the most common; a guiding hand on his shoulder as Jiang Cheng led him somewhere, touching knees as they sat side by side, a huff followed by Jiang Cheng carefully fixing Jin Ling’s messy hair.
The gesture he’d always loved the most, though, were the head pats. The mussing of hair. The thing Jiang Cheng always did when he was proud of Jin Ling, or with more vigor when he wanted to playfully annoy him a little bit. Jin Ling has lived for those touches his whole life. For the warmth they’d bring to his cheeks, either in pleased pride or annoyance.
Jin Ling has always liked it when Jiang Cheng touches his head.
