Memories presented themselves hazily and randomly when Henry least expected. These brief recollections were very frustratingly the largest key he had to finding his past; which he had long forgotten after he was taken to an orphanage as a young boy after being found wandering alone with no idea of who he was. All he wanted was to find out who he was and where he belonged.
Alexander Claremont-Diaz considered himself an opportunist. He didn't get the underground reputation of “Greatest Conman in London” with his charming nature alone, which his partner in literal crime, Nora, constantly reminded him of. When rumors began to surface around the nation that the youngest royal son, James, may have escaped death ten years after a violent uprising resulted in the murder of most of the royal family, Alex felt no guilt for seeing the situation's potential. Especially when the only (confirmed) remaining member of the Fox-Mountchristen-Windsor clan, Princess Beatrice, offered a cash reward in exchange for the return of her beloved brother.
Tldr; In 1940s London, Henry is a lost prince and Alex is an oblivious disaster that does the right thing accidentally.
