Summary:

A group of four that you may know well are transported somewhere they've never been after the holidays. Small amounts of healing begins, and there's a blip that's never been seen in any other universe. Atleast, not yet..

Takes place from the 27th to the 31st of December.

Chapter 1: Leo

Chapter Text

A splitting headache didn't mix well with the surrounding light, noise, and color. That last thing, the color, is what really confused him. Last he recalled he was meditating in the dojo, but when he opened his eyes and gained focus, he was in the middle of Times Square. With.. his brothers? They, along with the entire world, looked different. Had much more color, and were built sharper, gained spots and points.

Raph seemed to dump the confusion the fastest, grabbing Donnie and shaking him by his shoulders.

“What the fuck did you Do?!

“Oh, ya know, it just might help if I knew!!

The tallest of them had yelled back, having feigned a passive tone in the beginning as he tended to do when they asked stupid questions. It quickly escalated into a shouting match. Mikey's eyes were blown wide, as he kept looking this way and that. Leo grabbed the freckled turtle's wrist before he could go exploring.

“We should get to the sewers,” Leo spoke evenly, Donnie and Raph turning to him. The murderous intent faded from their features, though the two still glared at each other. They rarely got along recently, anyways.

“I don't think it really matters, dudes,” Mikey said, still smiling even as the others weren't very chipper. He pointed at one of the large screens on the buildings, “look.”

On the screen seemed to be a news report about something that had happened earlier in the day. Something about a hypno-potamus and a worm. Raph rolled his eyes, about to ask Mikey why they should give a fuck, before the footage changed to show this universe's them. Standing proud. This world's Leo even smiled and blew a kiss at the camera, before they all launched into the fight. Leo took note that the date was December twenty seventh.

“What the hell-”

“HE HAS A JETPACK?!

The three turned to look at the tallest of them, varying expressions. He didn't even react, more focused on the large screen and his counterpart. Donnie was jaw dropped, almost drooling, before he gasped and pointed up at the screen.

“His bo shoots lasers!!”

He was only met by unamused looks.

“We should still move to the sewers,” Leo continued, to which the others reluctantly followed. Mikey continued watching the screen, even as he was dragged away. The other two kept glancing at the news report, while Leo didn't look back.

°•.•°

“They seem cool,” Mikey was the last off the ladder.

Once down the manhole, they didn't really know where to go, and, of course, Raph was getting irritated. Leo was sure he wasn't doing anything important, back at home, anyway.

“What do we do now, fearless?”

He didn't actually know. Thankfully, or not, voices sounded from one end of the tunnel, so he didn't need to answer. A hand signal and the four quickly hid themselves along the walls and ceiling.

“So, how’s college been so far?”

“It's been… a lot, honestly, but I'm still going. You'll be done after this year, right?”

“Yup! I can't wait to get out there and start reporting. Plus, I'll have all the connections for New York's most interesting stories.”

“It kinda helps when you're the city's hero's sister, y'know?”

“Hey, they're not the only heroes! April O'Neil kicks ass, too!”

Leo's eyes widen as he realizes, right as Mikey jumps down, that Mikey's gonna pull a dumb move.

“Wow! You're this dimension's April?”

It's a split second between a yelp from their youngest brother and a thud on the ground.

“Who the hell are you and what do you mean dimensions?!”

Leo, along with the others, come out from the shadows, weapons raised. They're greeted by the visual of who must be April, a black woman with red glasses and her hair in a bun, standing over Mikey on the ground. The other voice belonged to someone standing behind her. They make eye contact with him and lightly shake April's shoulder.

“April, I don't think they're bad guys.”

She turns back to you, before looking up at the rest of the group.

“We could be, if you don't get off our little brother,” Raph scoffs, smiling like a shark.

April let's go, but points at Raph, glaring at him, “oh, you're threatening me? You do not threaten me.”

Leo quickly stands between the two of them, Looking behind him at Raph with an expression that tells him to calm down. When he turns to April, he's not exactly smiling, but it's still placating.

“Does your Raph not have anger issues?”

My Raph? What do you mean, my Raph... Were you paid by a turtle with red stripes on his face?”

“I don't think this is a prank,” the person that had been talking with April chimes in.

“It'd be a sick prank if it were, though,” Mikey laughs, standing once again and rubbing the back of his head.

Finally, Donnie speaks up, standing next to Leo as he explains, “we’ve traveled dimensions. I am Donatello, and you can probably guess who's who from there. I'm guessing that's never happened for your group of turtles? Meeting alternate versions of themselves?”

Both of the humans hesitantly shake their heads no. April turns back to the other, but keeps her eyes on the group of them as she walks backwards. She then whispers something, and the other person whispers back. Leo glances at Raph, who's rolling his eyes again while this goes on. It's not long until the two are done whispering.

“I guess you should meet the guys then, huh?”

Leo turns back, only to see your hand held out for him to shake, as you then introduce yourself. He takes your hand, shaking it once, and when you turn to Mikey he's much more exaggerated in his greeting. He sees you smile, returning the same amount of energy in the handshake and jostling Mikey as well.

“Our universe doesn't have a you! Atleast, that I know of. Is there a them that we should know, Don?”

“Well, not every universe is the same, and although there are constants, there are also differences. This one is very different to ours, so far. Like as we saw in the news report, the turtles here are well known, and also seem to have supernatural abilities. There could easily be a chance that we don't have them in our world.”

You then hold your hand out to Donatello after his info dump, to which he blinks at your hand for a moment.

“I'll take that as a compliment. It means I'm special, right?”

“I-I, uh- I suppose it- does.”

Donnie's hopeless, Leo smiles to himself, rolling his eyes at seeing how his brother's cheeks burn. Before you could even turn to Raph, he's glaring at you.

“I don't do handshakes.”

You shrug, punching him in the shoulder as you walk past him. Leo has to cover his mouth as he laughs at the face Raph makes.

“Lair's this way. Me and April were on our way there for movie night. She still needs to pick up her girlfriend, so she'll meet us there later.”

“Right.”
“Cool.”

While you walked ahead, Mikey came to walk next to you, asking every question there was and then some. You met them all with an easy smile, something that the other three didn't know how you did so easily. Leo got lost in his own thoughts after a while, questions of his own swimming in his head.

.•°•.

Everyone came to a stop at what looked to be a wall, earning you confused looks from the group of turtles you had gathered. You reached forward and touched the brick with your finger tips; it began swirling, turning a golden color before the light dissipated. Now there was a doorway to what looked like a pretty homey place, the doorway surrounded by that same light.

“After you,” you said, turning and holding an arm out, presenting the entrance.

“That was sick!”
“W-wha- is that magic?

Mikey and Donnie had walked ahead, Raph scoffed as he passed you, and Leo went last. The blue masked turtle looked inquisitive, but not nearly as amazed as Donatello.

“How..?”

“It's a mystic entrance. Do you not have magic in your world?”

“Not exactly. Nothing like this,” he looks back at you as you walk into the lair.

“So you don't have ninpo?”

Ninpo?

“Mikey could control lightning for a moment?”

You snickered, walking past Leo again before a siren went off. Your eyes widened, and Leo didn't even get a chance to get ready to fight before he was captured in a giant tube.

“Four intruders identified. Mutant slash yokai variety,” an overhead speaker of some sort voiced out, and he saw you groan. The sirens stopped, but the tubes remained in place. “Threat nullified.”

“Donatello, I brought them here!!” You shouted, walking down the short entrance hallway and turning at a corner. Someone with the same voice as the speakers shouted back, something Leo couldn't make out, and you replied, “Othello Von Ryan Hamato, if you do not let them out right this moment-”

What kinda name was that?

The tube disappeared just as quickly as it had contained him, but it dissolved into pixels around him, the color purple.

“Thank you.”

You turned back to Leo, giving him an apologetic smile before nodding towards the room you shouted into. When you walked ahead, he found his feet and followed. What greeted him was disorienting, even after they had gotten a glimpse of their alternates on the news. He didn't see himself in the group, though.

The Mikey's looked most similar, especially after their change to fit this world. They were getting along well even after what had happened. This universe's Raph, who was a giant, taller than Donnie, was holding his Raph. He and this universe's Donnie were practically growling at each other. His Donnie was too infatuated with the shell covering his alternate wore to even care about their fighting.

“What the fuck was that?!”

“A threat neutralizer, though, now looking at you, I see it was unnecessary.”

And what is that supposed to mean?

“Don, stop eggin’ ‘im on.”
“Raph, now is not the time for this.”

The fact the big Raph was being the calm one caught his attention immediately. Before he could ask, though, a portal appeared in the middle of the room, and a turtle with yellow stripes adorning his arms and legs stepped through.

“I have arrived with the snacks. You're welcome.

He opened his eyes and they went wide, looking around the room until he stopped at Leo.

“I wasn't expecting a fan meeting in our own home..?”

You're supposed to be me?” He said, tone disbelieving, and he couldn't help but scoff a laugh.

“Hey, I'm the one making portals, fanboy, let's see you do the same.”

“Okay, well, I can't really do that, but-”

“Guys, stop. These “fans” are you from an alternate dimension.”

The turtles in the room turned to look at you. While his Donnie had been inspecting the other version of him, he straightened up, explaining in more detail, “our dimension seems to be very different to yours. For one thing, we don't usually have these markings, like you do. We don't have magic powers either.”

“They are mystic abilities, ours specifically is called ninpo,” this universe's Donnie corrected him.

Leo caught how you kissed his alternates cheek, thanking him quietly for the snacks, and raised an eyebrow.

Finally the Mikey's chimed in, “we're gonna need specific nicknames, right?”

It was strange how they were able to talk in sync like that, though the Mikey with stickers winked at you and you snickered.

“Chello~. I'll go by Angelo,” He introduced himself, hand on his plastron.

His Mikey chimed in, “and I'll stick with Mikey!”

You nodded, and this universe's Donnie spoke up after, “I am alright with being called Tello, then.”

That made it easy for his Donnie, atleast.

It was then that his own doppelganger spoke up, “oh, I’m sticking with Leo thank you. You seem too boring for the grandiosity of the name, other me.” He flipped the tails of his mask over his shoulder, smiling widely.
“Leon seems strict enough for you.”

‘Leon’ glared at the other him, but otherwise let it go.

“I'm staying Raph.”

It was his brother who had said it, crossing his arms, and ‘Leo’ shrugged, still smiling, “that's fine. Our Raph will just be ‘Boss’ then.”

That made the other Donnie, Tello, smile, but Raph blanked.

“W-wha- but the rest of them are based on our names!”

“Well, you wanted to be Raph, and we're being accommodating. Don't want you blowing another fuse,” Tello shrugged, though he kept up a smirk.

Leo held up a hand, which Tello high fived without even looking at him. ‘Boss’ stood in a corner poking his fingers together, trying to look smaller. It was a behavior Leon had never seen on a Raph before. Looking around the room, the rest of his brothers seemed just as thrown off by the giants behavior.

“We're gonna go play video games, bros!”

Leon turned to Mikey, who was already walking away with Angelo.

“I-uh- we should probably look into how to get us home?” Donnie looked at Tello questioningly, who sighed.

“Yes, I suppose we should. My lab is this way.”

That left the Leo's and the Raph’s, though it wasn't that way for long. Leo bounced his brows with that permanent grin directed at Leon before he made a circle with one of his fingers. Raph fell through a portal in the floor soon after, which had Leo cackling and jumping in after him. The bag of snacks he had been holding landed on an island counter, nothing spilling out of it.

Leon was now left with ‘Boss’. And you.

You walked over to the giant, putting a hand on his knuckles, “what's wrong?”

“We didn't make very good first impressions, did we?”

You cooed, kissing his shoulder which had Leon's eyes wide.

“They're all versions of you guys, so I'm sure it was nothing new.”

“This is new,” he spoke up, and you turned to him with a look that asked him to explain.

“We've dealt with alternate universe versions of us before, and I have never seen a Raphael so.. soft.”

Boss frowned, and so Leon quickly tried to amend, “I just mean you're not as aggressive.”

You nodded, and Boss seemed to look happier at that.

“Well, I'm the oldest, so I gotta keep a clear head to take care of my bros.”

Leon made a face. Their Raph was technically also the oldest, though he still had his anger issues. There was something different here. It caught his attention when you kissed his shoulder again, and he watched you leave the room. Your excuse was that someone still had to set up the projector.

“You don't happen to be the leader, do you?”

He couldn't help but ask, and Boss smiled awkwardly, scratching at his neck.

“I was, and then Leo was put in charge. The pressure was too much for ‘im, and now we sorta co-lead, I guess?”

“Oh.”

Co-lead?

“Wait, so, you all are different ages? You pointed out you're the oldest.”

Boss, walked to the table and sat down, patting at its surface to invite him to sit, almost like one would do with a chair. Leon smiled and obliged, taking a seat next to him.

“That's right. I'm twenty, the twins are nineteen, and Mike- ah- Angelo ‘s eighteen.”

This Leo and Donnie were twins?

“We're all the same age, just months apart. Twenty five. I was made leader because I asked first.”

Boss made an expression he hadn't expected, something empathetic. It made Leon feel like he couldn't breath with the weight of it.

“Do you regret asking?”

What? His own eyes widened just a bit, and the question has him looking down at the table in front of Boss instead of at him. He had asked himself that so many times, but ultimately always felt he was just glad that it didn't fall on his brother's shoulders.

“No.”

°•.•°

They talked for maybe another hour before April and her girlfriend, Cassandra, were there. April had already given Cass a rundown on what happened, and when she saw the other turtles, she scanned over each of them. It made anxiety build in Leon's chest, and he wasn't the only one; everyone in the group flinched when she suddenly pointed at Raph.

“We're gonna spar tomorrow.”

What?

“You're not gonna order me around-”
“You threatened my girlfriend, and I love my girlfriend, and we're having it out tomorrow. Tonight's movie night.”

April's smile was cocky, but she pulled Cassandra closer and told her, “I don't need you to fight my battles.”

“But your honor!”

“You're crazy.”

“Crazy for you~”

You snickered, Leon looking at you, a little lost, before he had a hand shoved in front of him.

“My friends call me Casey, I'm guessing we're friends wherever you come from.”

He and his brothers all visibly relaxed, a look of understanding crossing their features, and Leon shook her hand.

“We are, though our Casey's a guy. You're very similar, still.”

“When you get back to your world you better tell him I'm the best Casey.”

That made him chuckle, shaking his head, “I'd rather find a way for you to tell him that personally.”

Raph was grumbling to himself about the plans that had been made for him, while Mikey and Donnie just waved. After that, everyone settled in for movie night.

You sat in Angelo's lap on the floor, baffling Leon even further. You had kissed Leo and Boss earlier, what was going on here? Were you just extra affectionate? He focused back on the movie, deciding he'd ask you about it after.

.•°•.

It was later, most of the group having passed out by now. At some point you changed seats, sat next to Tello while Angelo fell asleep on the couch. Boss was snoring next to him, and Leo was snoozing in his arms on the arm of the couch. Mikey had fallen asleep leaning on Raph, who was trying and failing to keep his eyes open, and Donnie was typing away on his phone. About what Leon could never even guess.

“We should probably get going,” April spoke up from where her and Casey were snuggled together.

You nodded, “I'll probably stay here tonight. Get home safe!”

They waved, and Tello waved back, though stayed focused on whatever he was reading on his phone. Leon and Donnie waved too, having gotten along well with the two alternates of their friends back home. When Tello whispered something about a gift to you, you smiled and wrinkled your nose, a faint blush spreading across your cheeks. You bumped your temple against his, and he snickered, turning and kissing your forehead.

On the arm of the couch Leo piped up a little groggily, “hey, I wanna give mi princesa some besitos too.”

“What is going on here?”

At his question, both you and Leo turned to look at him. He felt a little self conscious about asking, now; thankfully Tello's nonchalant answer calmed him.

“They are our partner. My brothers and I are all romantically involved with them, I'd suggest researching Polyamory.”

“So…”

Apparently Raph was awake now, too, “you all share.”
