Summary
When you look through stained glass like the one in the cathedral, everyone can quickly agree that it makes the world look much more colorful and pretty. It makes you wanna stay there, wish that was how the real world looked or that you could see it that way forever. So people do. Some decide to take a peak through the regular glass now and then but are hasty in turning their sight back to the colorful panes, not liking the more monotone, sad world they see. Everyone prefers to pretend that that’s the altered glass, that what they see through it is fake and changed.
So they continue to look through the stained glass that they have for most of their life, not wanting to deal with the scary, more grayscale world that actually is out there. However, a few lose that, they have that colorful, pretty view smashed and broken, forcing them to look through the regular glass, making them realize this simple truth. The truth that everyone is lying to themselves.
