Summary
As soon as Eijun is no longer with them, Chris turns eerily silent. It isn’t until the desk is between the two of them that Kazuya dares to look up and see what kind of face his friend is giving him.
To anyone else, Chris’s polite smile and the gentle tilt of his head would seem like the very picture of friendly encouragement. Kazuya knows better. He doesn’t think he’s ever seen his friend as smug as he looks right now.
“Okay, fine,” Kazuya concedes and rolls his eyes at the way Chris feigns clueless as to what Kazuya is talking about. He rubs at a nonexistent kink in his neck and looks around the room before settling back on Chris. “He’s perfect. I want him.”
“Good,” Chris says all too happily. “I’ll get the adoption forms ready.”
