Work Text:
His chest hurt.
This wasn't uncommon for him, so he didn't pay it too much mind. He didn't dare utter a word about the chest pains to Darius, as that would (at least, in his traumatized mind) surely lead to him being kicked out for being so burdensome.
He tried not to writhe in his bed too much as the pains gripped the left side of his chest so badly that he occasionally found himself unable to breathe.
He figured it was his heart or something related to it, and he knew that was bad and he knew he should tell Darius so that he could get medical attention, but he refrained.
He'd seen a healer about it before and they'd told him he was fine and just needed to drink more water, so there probably wasn't much point in seeing a healer again.
That would just be a waste of Darius' time and resources anyway.
A particularly bad pain struck him and he threw up over the side of his bed, moving just quick enough to where it missed his bed and landed on the ground.
He panted heavily and lied back down, praying that the pain would go away soon.
