Summary
Lucifer is still in Sam's head. Sam would say something about that, except he kind of likes being possessed.

“You would have let me do anything,” he whispers in what might be wonder, what might be awe.
Because he can read your thoughts. He’s still in your head. He never left. Is this real? Are you dreaming?
“You’d still let me do anything, wouldn’t you, Sam? Isn’t this enough proof?” He nips at your neck, drags his teeth across delicate skin and it stings. It feels real. “You just want to be good for me.”
You remember, briefly, the Cage. Lucifer and Michael, screaming at each other, at the bars, at you. Sometimes it was like withstanding nuclear war for thousands of years. Sometimes, only sometimes, Lucifer would wrap himself around you and you’d be blessedly cold and you clutch at the bed sheets because you miss that. You miss him.
Sometimes, when you’re connected to him like this, you can open a door to Lucifer’s memories. Glances of celestial wars, charges led by Michael while God sketches plans for the Earth. You can feel Lucifer’s love for Michael, always following his footsteps, Raphael close behind and Michael being endlessly patient with Gabriel. And then, briefly, you can feel just how deep his grief goes when his Father rose up, righteously angry that Lucifer had dared to question. Dared to be different.
(“Are you back-talking me, Sam?” John shouts, bottle of whiskey ever-present in his hand.)
Lucifer pushes deep inside you, grunts, and then goes still.
You’re tired. So very tired. You can barely keep your eyes open. You feel Lucifer withdraw, but he doesn’t leave. He just settles down next to you.
He strokes your hair. Peppers your neck with soft kisses.
“So beautiful,” he whispers. “Such a nice body. All mine. Good boy.”
Your head is still buzzing, over-full, you can hardly distinguish your own thoughts from the symphony of living millions of lifetimes. It’s impossible to escape a black hole after you’ve crossed the event horizon. What’s the point in struggling?
Perhaps it’s best to just give in.
