it's a simple mistake, really - ms. pauling or someone else higher up doing the supplying had seen two separate supply orders for the same brisket, and assumed the duplication to be a system error. simple solution, too. share the meat, the kitchen, and the responsibilities for dinner that week - heck, maybe even make a day out of it.
