    Max's heart raced, as it always did when he found himself battling against his Charles on the track. The thrill of being wheel to wheel, the competition pushing them both to their limits—it was a feeling he cherished. God, how much he loves it, battling against each other, to see who’s gonna win. Since their karting days, Max had known Charles was a formidable competitor.

    However, just before crossing the finish line, in the straight line that marks the end of the circuit a deafening boom echoed.
