Notes:

I've realized some people has had trouble with the timeskips so i will label them from here on out. Also, tell me how you guys like the story in the comments, criticism is welcome as it helps me understand more stuff. Also lmk if yall see any grammar issues.

(Don't mind me not putting the years on certain timestamps it just makes things weird for me😭)
(The ones w/o dates are in the same day I'll only put years for flashbacks since i usually don't do future time jumps.)

Chapter Text

17/06

"Heard the news?? There's a new Spiderman!" Gwen squealed. "Don't care," Hobie whistled leaning on a wall. "Is that him?" Pav pointed. "Eh?" Hobie looked around. "Right there you dumbass idiot!- Er..." Pav said nervously.

"Oi. watch ya mouth ya damn wanker." Hobie grabbed Pav's collar. "Sorry!!" Pav whined as Hobie threw him down. "God Hobie is horrifying."

"You're a real asshole, ain't ya?" Miles hung upside down infront of Hobie. "Hey new kid i wouldn't do that- Hobie doesn't like insults!" Gwen shivered. "This prick? Who cares what this jerk likes or doesn't like? For the least i could care. He could like guys and i wouldn't give a shit!" Miles cursed.

"You're quite cocky and bold for a new spiderman, yeah?" Hobie raised an eyebrow (shocking everyone atleast he didn't kill the new kid.)

"Yeah yeah!" Miles glared. "You're bold to think you can hurt me! my tío would kick you ass! If i don't do it first. Afterall my tío and tía is Miguel and Jess." Miles stuck his tongue out. "Childish li'l devil." Hobie glared. "Yeah yeah!" Miles rolled his eyes.

"So ya not gon' take off ya mask?" Hobie clicked his tongue. "Tryna see my beautiful face?" Miles cooed. "Nah, too egoistic. You're an astrocrat." Hobie rolled his eyes earning a sigh.

"Good lord man- You fucking spider-pricks and other people always labellin' shit. Oh this oh that, Fuck off with the names you bastards." Miles snarled as Hobie froze. Everyone had already left the two alone at this point.

"Never met anyone else who hated labels like i do." Hobie chilled. "You hate labels also? Cool!" You could see his eyes go wide then soften.

"Let me see your face mate." Hobie said sincerely. "Nuh uh bro." Miles laughed before heading to his Earth. Hobie felt his face burning and he saw atleast some rebellious energy in Miles and it just made him want to protect the kid.

19/06

"You're freakin' annoying!" Miles shouted, but it was unserious. It was-- playful? "Oi, need a hand mate?" Hobie appeared. "Nope!" Miles jumped up. "Mate. You Earth is probably one of the most hazardous-villain lair ever. You're single-handedly fighting five villains." Hobie looked forward.

"Mahh, This is nothing. I've faced 7 at once. These jerks, Green Goblin, Vulture, Sandman, Doc Ock and Electro are nothing. Kinda trashin' my earth though." Miles scoffed.

"Looks like a mix of my earth and Earth - 42." Hobie shrugged. "Stupid ass Earth. Aaron just think he's better than everyone, since my uncle is dead." Miles scoffed. "Isn't Miguel-"

"Miguel and Jess are biological siblings. Miguel married my actual uncle." Miles cracked his knuckles. "Ayé, watch and learn dirtbag!" Miles grinned using his webs, causing them to get electrocuted. He then went invisible knocking the others out with light punches.

"Had some training 'fore my uncle had passed i still train though, He was the prowler y'know. Him, Kingpin and another version of Doc Ock had all trained me." Miles laughed. "Still don't why I'm venting to a stranger but hey, that usually how it goes, hm?" Miles took off his gloves.

"Gross. Told ya i got this. I don't need help from a wannabe hero. You heroes are nothing other than people who get treasured for being amazing." Miles walked away.

"I hate labels. I'm not a hero, because calling yourself a hero makes you a self-mythologizing, narcissistic autocrat." Hobie shrugged as Miles rolled his eyes. "Somethin' changed bruv. You mood darkened." Hobie admitted.

"Forget it, Spiderman." Miles swung to Brooklyn Bridge, "Listen to me, bruv. Whole point of being Spider-Man is your independence. Being your own boss. You don't need all this." Hobie grinned.

"You're one to talk. Can't even- forget it." Miles sat on the edge. "Go on mate, Now you've gotten me intrigued." Hobie whispered.

"We ain't friends or associates." Miles looked at the stars. "I honestly wonder if you're related to O'Hara." Hobie grinned. "I will NEVER be related to that paranoid control freak." Miles groaned. "Ain't wrong 'bout that." Hobie agreed.

30/06

"Hey jerk!" Miles grinned excitedly as Hobie raised an eyebrow. "Hey Spiderboy." Hobie smirked under his mask. "He literally just insulted you!" Gwen pointed. "And?" Hobie shrugged. Both Gwen and Pav were stunned.

"Hi I'm Gwen Stacy from Earth-95 also know as Spider-Gwen or the ghost spider!" Gwen smiled, "And I'm Pavitr Prabhakar from Earth-50101! Spider-India!" Pav greeted. "I know. Who you are." Miles clenched his fists. "You're bleeding from your armpits, mate." Hobie laughed.

"Fuck off you idiotic bastard." Miles grinned as Hobie shrugged. "We'll gotta go, see ya." Miles said turning invisible.

"Stupid- Stupid-" Miles cursed bandaging his hand. "Bro you're breaking the mirror." Ganke huffed. "I'm gonna break a hole in your chest if you don't shut the hell up." Miles glared. "Sorry man, but what has you so worked up?" Ganke asked. "Doesn't matter, stay the hell out my j's man." Miles rolled his eyes. "Your kicks are fire bro." Ganke apologized. "Fuck off jerk." Miles flopped on his bed.

05/07

"You may be my boss but you're not gonna tell me no." Johnathan sat on a gate. "Like you said, I'm your boss. You ain't gon' force me to talk." Miles glared. "yeah yeah." Spot clicked his tongue.

"I swear life was easier when my tío was around." Miles looked to the sky, "I've grown to become a mix of my tío and Hobie. Cocky and an asshole and not believin' in shit." Miles laughed as Spot laughed while shaking his head.

"Usually," Spot added. "So-" Miles tried to figure out what to say. "Why don't your little spider friends remember you?" Spot asked as Miles shrugged. "Don't fucking know but i hate it." Miles jumped off the building, swinging to the nearby building.

"Spiderman! Can we have a picture!" Someone grinned. "Why not." Miles gave a heartwarming smile. Soon enough he left to his apartment.

"Miles?" Jeff asked, "Can i come in son?" Jeff asked softly as Miles agreed, Jefferson walked in, Locking the door. "So, what bothering you?" Jeff asked softly sitting besides his son.

"I don't know dad, it just. It hurts having my friends not remember me for some odd reason. Even Hobie but all of a sudden, he seems different. He hates people calling him names. Usually he never even minded it before."

"Open your eyes son." Miles looked to his father, "What do you mean by that?" Jeff stood up and left.

07/06

Miles punched the beanbag visciously. Least the say the others were afraid. "You good Mate?" Hobie leaned on the wall as Miles punched the bag more, "My presence annoy you?" Hobie asked walking closer to the boy. "It's not your presence. It's you! You forgetting annoys me! I hate you forgot you're-" Miles fell to the floor. "What are you on about? Me forgetting?- Foretting what?" Hobie asked. "Nothing. Nothing just meet me at E- 01.

Hobie made it to the Earth had it been a coincidence that it's always raining at the place, Miles had his headphones on and was on a swing, Hobie did not expect to see Miles still in his suit, "'M here mate," Hobie sat on the swing besides Miles. "Go figures." Miles looked towards Hobie's face his face saddening immediately. "Does- Does this bring back memories?" Miles asked, a little bit of hope in his voice. "Memories?" Hobie asked as Miles looked away. "Mate, are you alright? It's upsetting ta see you like this-- even if i don't know you that well." Hobie asked as Miles fell to the floor. "Mate-" Hobie bent down only to hear sniffling?

He looked on the floor and seen a ring Miles had thrown onto the floor. "What's this?" Hobie asked, seemingly hurt but he didn't know why. "P-promise ring that i don't want anymore." Miles groaned trying to breathe. "I have the matching one ta this, don't know why though. I've just recently met you and have never dated you." Hobie held the ring as Miles glared at Hobie through the mask. "Mate?" Miles pinned Hobie to the floor.

Hobie felt himself going red as Miles snatched his mask off and kissed Hobie passionately out of (some unknown) instinct he put his hands under Miles shirt and held his waist. He didn't know if Miles had actually been crying or the rain was decieving him but it hurt. It hurt like hell, seeing Miles act like this, Seeing him cry and even worse seeing Miles breakdown in his arms. "Mate-" Hobie tried formally a sentence only to have been at a lost for words. "It's not fair you idiot- h-how can you forget me so easy Hobie?! Was it fake- o-our love? What was the point of giving me the promise ring? You said you wouldn't hurt me. B-but- this- this shit fucking hurts Hobie." Miles sobbed as Hobie listened each heartbreaking sobs, word broke his heart. "Kid i-" Hobie said before Miles picked up the promise ring and left.

20/07

"You- took it off?" Jeff asked looking at the promise ring on his son's nightstand, Miles never once took that off once it was given too him, it was the first ever gift Hobie gave him! "Why keep it on? The person who gave me this remembers nothing about our history, the reason he gave me this, me or- or us." Miles choked, he didn't think it'd hurt this much. He hasn't talked to anyone in days, hasn't eaten or slept. "Miles you need to eat and go to sleep." Jeff worriedly said. "How can i? Every-Single-Thing reminds me of him." Miles rested his head on his arms. "Miles," Jeff tried to reassure, "Please leave dad and- don't tell mom she'd freak." Jefferson left with a heavy sigh as Miles touched the finger where the promise used to be.

"Miles luv, i got a ring for the both of us, It's a promise ring. i promise never a day in my life will i hurt ya. you're so fuckin' important to me and i- i don't wanna lose ya."

"Hobie..."

"Take the ring for me 'kay? let you know i... i uh love you a'ight?"

"..."

"It's a'ight lovely, no need ta cry, i'm here for you beautiful."

Miles remembered the moment like it was yesterday, even though it hurt so bad he just could help give a small smile. "Mate... I don't know what's going on with you but i miss you at the shitty spider society." Hobie climbed through the boy's window inching closer. It hurt Miles' heart. "What'll help you remember i feel like i'm gonna die having you not know who i am." Hobie traced his hand over Miles' chin to the middle of his palm Miles let his head rest on the top of the chair his eyes fluttering . "H-Hobie..?," He muttered, "You're such a prett' lad, you know. Will you forgive me for my mistake beautiful?" Hobie asked looking into the boy's eyes, Hobie stood up and walking towards Miles desk.

Not like he'd admit but it hurt him seeing the promise ring. "Your ring." Hobie picked it up, He knew that if Miles had ever took that off it means he hurt him badly. He picked up the ring and walked towards Miles putting it back on.

"-iles." He heard someone calling his name, then the door closing. "Miles... Wake up bud." He heard his father call as he shot up, "Hobie- where is he?!-" Miles shouted, He still doesn't remember Miles..." Jefferson said as Miles looked more heartbroken than ever.
