"Toya, over here okay?"
Akito approaches the trunk of a cherry blossom tree-- it's nicely shaded, still letting in the warmth of the sunlight without creating a glare. Toya nods, and Akito lays out the picnic blanket. They both sit down and start pulling food out of the bags they're each carrying.
"Thank you for inviting me out, Akito." Toya looks up once he's done spreading the snacks, smiling. "This is nice."
"C'mon, we haven't even done anything yet," Akito chuckles.
"I know. But I'm with you, so it's nice."
As usual, Akito blushes a bright red and turns to the side. "Yeah, whatever." He smiles. "You're right."
"What, is my sunshine embarrassed to receive my affection?" Toya coos, moving closer to Akito.
"Stop it-" Akito hides his face in his hands, half to prevent Toya from trying anything and half to hide the growing blush on his face.
Toya pouts. "Aw."
Suddenly, a loud bark and the sound of running paws on grass makes Akito freeze, removing his hands from his face.
Akito looks at Toya, fear in his eyes.
The dog runs over to their picnic blanket, causing Akito to yelp and jump into Toya's arms.
"Hey, hey, it's okay, Aki, it's okay."
The dog quickly starts sniffing around their food-- thankfully, nothing's been opened yet, but it can still smell everything. Akito knows he's shaking. Toya is quick to comfort him. "Look, it's just here for our food, okay? Nothing to worry about."
"No-- shit, Toya---"
It approaches the two boys, bumping its snout against Toya's leg. He smiles whilst rubbing his partner's back. "It's just being curious. It's alright, you're safe."
A woman approaches them, quickly ushering the dog towards her. "I'm so sorry! He's much too interested in food, I'm sorry."
Toya smiles up at her. "It's quite alright. He's cute."
The woman apologizes a few more times as she clips the dog onto a lead and pulls him away. Akito only relaxes his grip once it's out of sight.
"There, see? All okay. You're alright, I'm here."
Akito sighed and got down from Toya's arms, ignoring the shake in his legs as he hit the floor.
"...Thanks, Toya." He mumbled.
Toya smirked. "Anything for my sunshine."
Akito flushed, hiding his face by turning away.
Toya moved closer to his partner, snaking his arms around Akito. "Hi."
"Hey." Akito craned his neck to look back at Toya.
The bluenette responds by quickly spinning Akito around, hugging him from the front and placing kisses over his collarbones.
"Well done, Akito," he mumbles into the skin. "You're very brave."
"T--Toya, don't... I jumped onto you immediately--- hey that tickles!"
Toya raises his head to smile at his partner. "That's okay. I don't mind if you need my help when you're afraid, I still think you're brave."
"...Thanks."
"Are you feeling okay?"
"Mhm." Akito looks back at Toya, and immediately realizes that that was the wrong answer for his heart health.
Toya has taken that as permission to be insufferable.
His arms move to Akito's sides, smirking as he moves his fingers over the sensitive skin.
Akito lets out a giggle before freezing.
"Toya-- hey!" Toya has now moved to Akito's jawline, gently running slender fingers over the bone.
Akito is laughing now, breathing heavily and trying to get out a 'stop' every now and then.
"You're so cute when you're laughing, sunshine."
"To-- hahahha-- Toya! Sto-- stop it!"
Toya starts giggling too, now, both out of amusement and affection. "Akito, love, I adore hearing you laugh."
"To-- Toya!"
Akito manages to push Toya off with weak arms, trying to calm his laughter and will the blush off of his face. "Toya, that was so unfair, dude--!"
Toya giggles. "I'm sorry, sunshine. I thought it might help calm you down."
"Yeah-- it did, I guess. Thanks."
Wrong answer again-- Toya smirks. "Does that mean I can continue?"
"No!"
Toya laughs again. "Okay, okay." He pulls Akito in for a hug, kissing his neck.
"Toya!"
"Sorry, sorry."
The partners sit down, finally beginning to eat their food. It was a wonderful afternoon.
They both, silently, hope to spend many more like it.
