Marinette watched contentedly as her husband pulled the cake out of the oven.
Getting up she walked over and once he had moved away from the hot pan, she kissed him on the cheek eliciting a grin from him.
“Good morning, when did you wake up? I was trying to let you sleep in.”
She laughed, “Tim, dear, despite you looking like you are half my weight, you stomp around our kitchen like an elephant.”
Her husband gasped in mock offense, and maybe in the past he would've taken a battle stance and they would have had a butter knife duel, but today Tim opted to pick her up.
He laughed in the worst impression of a maniacal laugh as he took her back to bed, “Now that I have the princess, I shall lock her away in a tower!”
Marinette feigned horror as Tim sat her down softly onto the bed.
Little feet thudded across the wood floor before coming to a halt at their bedroom door frame.
“I thought I was your princess?”
Marinette smiled fondly as Tim mumbled something about Bruce and spoiling his kid.
Tim instead opted to grab his little girl, “Now that I have the princess and the queen, I shall take over the tri-state area!”
She snorted at the reference while their daughter squealed and Tim spun her around by her feet.
Normally she would join in, but given her “fragile state” as Damian so lovingly referred to her pregnancy, she would have to stay out of such games for only a few more months.
A voice in her head that sounded suspiciously like logic reminded her that it would be much longer than a few more months.
Marinette ignored it, instead focusing on her amazing husband and daughter.
She loved them.
So much it felt like her heart would overflow.
And that was without the little one that was currently trying to kick her bladder to death.
Even then though, she loved them all so terribly much.
Which she knew was a dangerous train of thought because she-
“Momma you're crying!”
Her sweet little girl came up and nestled herself in the crook of her arm and Marinette smiled while more tears flowed.
Tim smiled fondly, already used to her haywire emotions and came to join the impromptu cuddle session.
He tenderly kissed her forehead and cheek before settling down with his arm around them, “What got you this time Mari?”
She laughed wetly, “I love you both.”
Tim cooed as their daughter hugged her mom tighter, “Love you too bug.”
