Summary
**MAJOR SPOILERS**
Loss is such a physical thing, Ghost knew this first-hand. It's like a part of you that you didn't know existed, is suddenly missing. And it becomes this gnawing, hungry thing. This open, gaping wound in the pit of your soul.
It's so desperate for any taste of what it's lost that Ghost found himself looking for Johnny in everything and everyone. He'd see a stranger's eyes and think 'They look like his....hm...no they're too gray....or...are they too blue...?'
OR Ghost is grieving Johnny's death and doing it badly when he discovers Johnny isn't six feet under after all.
Johnny, desperate for Ghost's forgiveness tries to ambush the man at all his favorite haunts on base. If he could just get Ghost to talk to him! After multiple failed attempts he goes to his Captain who suggests the base's elevator.
The elevator has an emergency stop, when pushed they'll both be locked in until someone on the outside disables it.
It's perfect.
