No Longer Humane

Summary:

It wasn't Wen Xu who came to GusuLan.
It was Wen Chao.

GusuLan didn't just lose a Library Pavilion and its Sect Leader.
They lost more than that....way more.

It wasn't Lan Wangji who was left behind and sent to QishanWen Indoctrination.
It was Lan Xichen.

Over this reversal of fate,

How shall the Ineffable Jades maintain their purity?

Chapter Text

GusuLan had fallen.

That day, at dusk Wen Chao brought thousands of Cultivators under him to Gusu. The nominal Sect Leader, Qingheng-Jun had to come out from his seclusion and received the Wen envoy. Wen Chao later conveyed the meaning of his presence:

"GusuLan has grown arrogant. Lan Qiren has been conducting a Study every year, teaching the disciples from other Cultivation Sects, while hiding an ulterior motive behind it. GusuLan has put itself above the other Clans by taking your Rules as the basis to judge right and wrong. QishanWen will not allow GusuLan to continue spreading their influence and proclaim themselves 'Teacher' any longer!"

With such an accusation, Wen Chao ordered GusuLan themselves to first set their treasured Library Pavilion ablaze.

"Whoever refuses to listen, come up and I will teach them a lesson." Wen Chao added with a wide grin.

Behind him was a Wen Cultivator who acted as his bodyguard, Wen Zhuliu.

It was impossible for people to obediently set their home on fire just because someone said so.

Qingheng-Jun tried to mediate and brought the discussion to the table.

When the mediation failed, the stalemate broke, and the fight between the two parties became an inevitable result.

A sea of fire.

It was what Lan Xichen saw from the other part of the mountain.

The Wen had not only burned the Library Pavilion but had decided to burn the entire Cloud Recesses to the ground!

The movement of his leg faltered. In front of him was the deep darkness of the night, his goal, the path he should have taken right now.

To flee, to run, to immediately save what little treasured books he could get from their proud Library.

But behind him was...

The next time Lan Xichen knew, he had been running closer and closer to the light instead.

His skin felt the intense heat from the inferno engulfing the hundreds of years known paradise, his home.

The more he ran back the clearer the sound of fighting was. The sky of Gusu had been lit with not only the dozens of meters of blazing fire, but lined with the sparks of Spiritual Swords clashing with each other.

Smells of burned woods, papers, and...charred skins, permeated in the air.

Lan Xichen felt himself running faster and faster, and...There, in front of what was supposed to be the Library Pavilion, lay his Father.

Around his fallen body were the corpses of other GusuLan elders.

Lan Xichen couldn't remember exactly what happened afterward. All he could remember was grabbing his younger brother from the center of the fight, putting the Qiankun bag on his arm, and pasting a teleportation talisman on his back.

Afterward,

Afterward,

It was pain.

Pain.

Pain.

Pain.

Deep piercing pain.

Qishan.

“Have you heard about it?”

“What?”

The sound of young cultivators in twos or threes whispering in a group was found in the clearing. Before them was a podium, that was supposed to be used by Wen Chao. These cultivators were both descendants from the main Clans and the disciples from the Sects. They were here in Qishan, being gathered under the premise of “Re-Education”.

In QishanWen's words, other Sects were incapable of teaching their own descendants and disciples. If left aside this might lead to the downfall of the Cultivation World. Not one of the Sects that had received QishanWen’s invitation refused to come. They all sent the required 20 disciples, including 1 of them the direct disciple from the main Clan.

After all, there’s already a glaring example of the result if they were to disobey.

The so-called proof of disobedience was standing alone in the field. Other cultivators wisely distanced themselves from him.

“Look over there, that's Zewu-Jun, no, probably he isn't suited to be called by such a title anymore. Haven't you heard what happened to GusuLan?” One of the disciples' groups started the discussion.

“I heard some of it.” The other one lowered their voice, “They said, QishanWen came to Gusulan, not only did they burn the Cloud Recesses thoroughly, the entire mountain was burnt to ash, but even the Sect Leader, QinghengJun died as a result! Furthermore, Lan-Xiansheng, Lan Qiren, was also injured severely.”

The opponent of his chat shook his head. “That’s not all. After Sect Leader Lan fell, other Elders and senior Cultivators also fell along with him. Those who were left were injured heavily, just like Lan Qiren. But what is even more disheartening was,” He glanced at Lan Xichen discreetly.

Afterward, lowering his voice even more, he continued to speak, “——Lan Xichen. You know what, Wen Chao has commanded Wen Zhuliu to melt Lan Xichen’s Golden Core! And it was said that because Lan Xichen was disobedient, letting Lan Wangji escape, Wen Chao punished him for his rebellious act, with 3 discipline whips on his back!”

“What did you say?!” The other Cultivators around this small group who were eavesdropping gasped in shock.

The horror of having their Golden Core melted had already caused their body to feel imaginary pain in their abdomen, and an uncomfortable tingling throughout their meridian. Now, added with discipline whips…

The Cultivators fell silent. They were like - I look at you, you look at me.

In the end, one of them sighed. “Hey…GusuLan is really over.”

None of them refuted him.

Having lost their treasured Library Pavilion, having their home ground utterly destroyed, having their Sect Leader, their elders, and even the Senior Cultivators either died or bedridden…and to top it all, the Clan Heir lost his qualification to be a Cultivator.

It really was over. There was no chance of recovering.

For a Cultivator, Golden Core was their future, their lifeline.

Golden Core was what made them a Cultivator.

To lose their Golden Core, meant to have their qualification as a Cultivator revoked. And if you were no longer a Cultivator, then your clan would no longer be qualified to mingle in a Cultivation society.

Wei Wuxian was standing side by side with Jiang Cheng as he heard the other disciples talking.

His expression was extremely grave. The crease in his brows resulted in his forehead to wrinkle in several folds. There's no smile on the corner of his eyes or his lip.

But it wasn't just him.

Jiang Cheng, and everyone else in the vicinity had more or less the same expression. Even Jin Zixuan who usually couldn't wait to spread his Peacock tails to the sky was as quiet as a Quail.

The clearing was enveloped in a strange silence, with only Wen Chao boasting on the dais.

Later, when they were asked to hand over their swords, no one voiced out a complaint.

They were herded to the "dormitory", the place they were supposed to live while under re-education in Qishan.

Wei Wuxian was walking in the path and suddenly he quickened his pace, catching up with the disciple earlier who spread the news about GusuLan.

He wrapped his arm around the disciple's shoulder and lowered his voice, whispering familiarly, "Brother, I see that you're very well informed. You see, I have a question I want to ask here."

The disciple was startled for a moment but relaxed after he saw it was Wei Wuxian. "What do you want to know, Wei-Xiong?"

"When did you hear about what happened to...GusuLan?"

The disciple darted his eyes around before whispering back, "My sect is around Gusu, the southern side from there. I heard about it around the time when the Wen sent a disciple to my sect telling us about this re-education plan. But the accident itself should have happened around 1 or 2 weeks ago."

Wei Wuxian thought in his mind, if it was just last week, no wonder they in Yunmeng hadn't heard anything of it. While the news traveled slowly the farther the distance was, in addition, YunmengJiang didn't have a particularly close relationship with GusuLan. It wasn't like how YunmengJiang with LanlingJin were close due to the 2 Sects' Mistresses, or the close relationship between GusuLan and QingheNie due to the Heirs' friendship.

"Then, did you hear any more news?" Wei Wuxian paused, and asked carefully, "For example, if the Wen has caught Lan Wangji or if he is currently being pursued?"

The disciple shook his head. "I didn't hear such news. And the Wen doesn't look like they are seriously pursuing Lan Wangji. I don't know, I may have it wrong since I got sent here in a hurry."

"That's it..." Wei Wuxian nodded in understanding.

He smiled and vigorously patted the disciple's back. "Alright, Brother, thank you for telling me the news. You can come to me if you have difficulty later."

The disciple also waved back at him. "That's not much. But Wei-Xiong, I will really come to you if I need help later." He grinned.

Wei Wuxian laughed and walked back to where YunmengJiang's disciples were walking together.

He was greeting the other disciples and talking with them when he felt his arm being grabbed tightly.

Wei Wuxian looked over his shoulder —— It was Jiang Cheng.

Jiang Cheng warned him in a low voice, "Don't do anything!"

Wei Wuxian raised his brows. "It's like I will do something. Even if I want to do 'anything at all' I won't do it in broad daylight. Wait until midnight and we can put a sack on Wen Chao and beat him until his face swelled like a pig."

"Even if you want to beat him, it's impossible." Jiang Cheng sneered. "Didn't you see that guy who's standing by his side? That's the infamous Wen Zhuliu people were talking about before."

Wei Wuxian recalled an adult Cultivator with a serious expression on his face standing beside Wen Chao previously. He could see that the guy's cultivation was obviously very high. However, unlike other highly cultivated Cultivators who maintained their youthful appearance, the guy looked like he was in his 30s instead. He must have started late in cultivation in that case.

He nodded at Jiang Cheng's words. "His cultivation is indeed high. It's a very useful guard."

Jiang Cheng, "Not only that, you've heard yourself what he's capable of from his recent feat in GusuLan Sect, haven't you? That's why, I have to remind you, " Jiang Cheng gritted his teeth. "You, don't come closer to Lan Xichen! Whoever approaches him now will attract attention."

Wei Wuxian paused, and glanced in the direction where GusuLan disciples were grouped at. He thought for a moment, and finally said, "I know."

Jiang Cheng furrowed his brows, feeling like he still couldn't be rest assured by Wei Wuxian's words.

As a result, he trotted around Wei Wuxian the whole day and put an eye on his every action. Even if Wei Wuxian waved him off in disgust, Jiang Cheng still didn't let him go!

But it wasn't just Jiang Cheng who felt so. Everyone else thought the same. During the day, the area a few meters around Lan Xichen was vacuumed. It was as if he was in a world of his own. Even GusuLan Sect disciples didn't come too close to the Clan's Young Master, letting him be clearly isolated from his surroundings.

However, Lan Xichen himself didn't seem to care about being excluded. As if in response, he stood alone, exuding an aura of rejecting people thousands of miles away.

During this period of re-education, Wen Chao would, from time to time, give his wise advice and valuable speech on a dais. At that time, the thing he liked the most was dragging the winners of the previous Archery Competition in the Qishan Conference.

Back then, Wen Chao initially aspired to win the top spot in the competition. However, much to his indignation, Wei Wuxian ended up ranked first, with Lan Xichen following behind and Jin Zixuan as Third. To add more to his annoyance, Lan Wangji who stopped halfway through the competition actually ranked 4th! If it weren't for him stopping early, his result would have been considerably better.

Wen Chao especially hated these 4 people. Fortunately, the 3 top-spot winners were here, what a good coincidence. Therefore, he would drag these 3 from time to time and scold them in various ways in front of many people, intending to humiliate them.

For Wei Wuxian, his scolding was like cat paws scratching. It didn't hurt at all. Compared to what he had been through with Madam Yu in Lotus Pier, Wen Chao's humiliation could even be called "virtuous". So he just laughed it off.

In Lan Xichen's case, the guy had an expression as if he had achieved perfect harmony of Heaven and Earth, and was about to ascend at any second. His face was extremely cold, distant, and quiet. There's no trace of warmth or smile that characterized him as Zewu-Jun. Those who didn't know might even mistake him for the frosty Jade-Lan Wangji.

These two people, Wei Wuxian and Lan Xichen, neither of their reactions was what Wen Chao wanted to have. It felt like punching a cotton, there was no feedback at all. He grew bored of them shortly.

On the contrary, Jin Zixuan who had been raised in the palm of his parents in Jinlintai, obviously never had one scolding in his whole life. His expression was so colorful. His face changed color like a rainbow according to his emotion. And he looked like he was about to lose his temper at any time, killing Wen Chao to erase the stain of humiliation and committing suicide to prove his innocence.

This was what Wen Chao wanted the most! The reaction of someone being humiliated thoroughly. Therefore, Jin Zixuan became his favorite and attracted the most attention from Wen Chao.

In the front, Wen Chao was filled with vigor, criticizing and scrutinizing Jin Zixuan from top to bottom, from inside to outside, pulling out all of his affairs from the past to the present as materials. In response, the Young Master Jin had his face blushed in deep red from anger. Even the veins at the corner of his temple were protruding, about to burst out from under his skin.

Lan Xichen stood quietly, concentrating his gaze downward at his feet, staring at a weed he was currently trampling under his boot.

The young adult wondered in his heart, even if Wen Chao later insulted him by comparing him to this wild weed, the insult was probably well-deserved.

Unimportant. Useless. Can only be trampled without anyone noticing.

What other humiliation could be given to Lan Xichen who had lost almost everything? Even his own existence here was already an embarrassment. So why would he feel humiliated by a trivial insult?

The disciples were herded again.

This time, they were ushered to hunt a Three-Headed Serpent. If it succeeded, the harvest would be big. The Serpent's scale was extremely tough, it could be made into a chainmail or other Spiritual Weapon. The skin could be used as a high-quality leather even within the Cultivation Society. The Fangs could be used as decorations or refined as more weapons. The blood contained various medicinal properties, both toxic and beneficial, depending on how they were to be processed.

——Lan Xichen recited all of the basic knowledge he knew by heart in his 20 years of growing up.

Why, of course, it was natural. Lan Xichen was, after all, one of the Cultivation Prodigies exalted in his generation.

Once.

He was walking slowly along with the other 19 Gusulan disciples. His face was extremely pale, almost bloodless. His pace became slower and way slower the more they walked. He ended up at the tail end of GusuLan's group of disciples, at some point.

Lan Xichen sighed with no emotion in his heart. 'Ah. What a mess. I have been separated again from my group.'

Around him right now were the disciples from other Sects. Most of them Lan Xichen had never had the chance to meet. But it's obvious that they knew Lan Xichen. Their eyes were glancing at him, both discreetly or openly. None of them try to speak with him. They kept walking ahead, and soon, soon Lan Xichen was outrun once again. A new group of disciples replaced the previous batch.

Faintly, the people from the front were whispering to each other,

"Hey, isn't that Lan Xichen? Why is he here? I thought I saw Gusulan disciples moved first at the front."

His friend hushed him, "You're still asking? Isn't that obvious? Lan Xichen couldn't catch up with other 'Cultivators', so he was left behind."

Another one joined in, "It can't be helped, isn't it? Even if he is there, he can't offer much help to begin with in the hunt. Hey, I kind of pity those GusuLan disciples. They're always struggling to finish their task. There's no leader they can depend on."

"GusuLan is really over. I think after coming back from Qishan, those disciples will definitely going to quit the Sect."

"I think so too. Otherwise, they're just going to be pawns to guard the useless Young Master." The others shook their heads.

Someone suddenly said, "Wait, but there's still Lan er-Gongzi, Lan Wangji, right? If he doesn't get caught by the Wen, he can be the next successor, no? In terms of talent and cultivation, despite being 2 to 3 years younger than his older brother, he is as good as Lan Xichen."

But soon his words were refuted, "So what if Lan Wangji is there? What can a 17 or 18-year-old boy do to revive a Major Sect? What power or reputation does he have to be considered for? Just for his talent? There's no lack of people with talent in this world."

"Fair enough." The previous disciple agreed. "Besides, with his personality, do you think he can do what a Sect Leader should do?"

"Haha! You're right! How old is he, but he's really arrogant. I have seen him before, I think his face looks like he is looking down on every living being. As if no one has the honor to get his attention."

The other added, "He doesn't even know how to speak either! What the hell, does he think his words are like gold? With this kind of personality, can he even convince people properly and speak eloquently?"

The disciples laughed quietly. Their snickers and sneers could be heard in between.

In the past, whatever Lan Wangji's disposition was, no one dared to comment on it. His taciturn personality was seen as elegance and his cold demeanor was deemed as aloofness. His lack of words was called as being wise.

But now, GusuLan Sect was no more. The Lan Clan was finished. The once-admired quality of Lan Wangji became a thorn in people's eyes. His every behavior seemed wrong no matter what.

It's because right now he's just like a wild weed that can be trampled.

Similar to Lan Xichen.

"...What can a 17 or 18-year-old boy do...what reputation or power does he have to be considered, huh...?" Lan Xichen murmured under his breath.

All of the contents of the conversations prior fell to his ears.

But so what?

It wasn't like what they said was wrong.

Including what they said about Lan Wangji.

Lan Xichen knew his younger brother best. He knew Lan Wangji was indeed struggling with his ability to communicate properly. He knew that Lan Wangji didn't have a delicate thought pattern at all. Once he saw something he disapproved of, he wouldn't be bothered with subtleties about it. While this kind of disposition was what people expected for a cultivator, the paragon of righteousness, but when it came to being a Sect Leader, sometimes there were moments when you had to be eloquent to make your way.

Perhaps if the Lan Clan was still what it was before, this kind of behavior wasn't going to be much problem. But with the Lan Clan being on the verge of ruin, if the Sect Leader couldn't be eloquent and flexible, then it's going to be truly over. Lan Wangji would be defeated just by squabbling with other Sect Leaders.

Even if Lan Xichen knew about it, and understood it in his heart, but having others commenting. so openly about it still didn't make him feel good.

'As expected, when a tall mountain collapses, even cats and dogs can shout out to beat the Tigers who lost their home.'

This was the law of nature.

Lan Xichen had heard of it before, but he would never expect to experience it himself.

What those disciples said about the GusuLan disciples was also true.

Even Lan Xichen could feel their thoughts, or rather, those disciples didn't do a good job of masking their impatience in the first place. They weren't direct descendants of the Lan Clan, but merely disciples of the Sect. The rise and fall of the Lan Clan had nothing to do with them, and if they could stay away immediately that would be better.

Before they were sent here, these GusuLan disciples didn't know the extent of the situation. They weren't in the place to quit the sect on the spot either. Unfortunately, after they arrived in Qishan, hearing what people had assessed about GusuLan, they knew there was no more future in this Sect. The more they realized, the stronger their conviction to quit GusuLan Sect.

As a result, they no longer bothered to mind their manners toward Lan Xichen.

Besides, what could someone with no Golden Core do to them, or what did he have to deserve their respect?

To be even more precise, Lan Xichen was no longer qualified to be called as Zewu-Jun. The title was given to him in regard to his status as a respectable cultivator.

But he was not a cultivator anymore.

He didn't deserve such a title.

Were these disciples in the wrong?

No, they aren't.

So what if they didn't have loyalty in their hearts? So what if their skills and talent were taught by the Lan Clan? They had been their disciples for years and had participated in GusuLan's nighthuntings many times to repay the grace of teaching. Did they have to stay in the Sect no matter what, and support the Clan to be revived once again as a Major Sect? That's Impossible. They're not heroes.

So what if they like the rich and dislike the poor? During the heyday of GusuLan Sect, they received the honor as their disciples, and at its downfall, they couldn't wait to scramble and save themselves. Should they stay behind and suffer the bad fate of a fallen clan? That's also impossible. They're not a martyr.

Even if someone were to announce their choice, no one would fault them.

They said, it's just human nature. To avoid disadvantage and steer away from trouble that didn't concern them.

Lan Xichen wanted to laugh.

Laughing loudly to the sky.

He never knew, that human nature is...

...Is this ugly and disgusting.

Lan Xichen would have never known,

He'd never expected, that these people who smiled and talked with him politely and cordially before,

Could change their face 180 degrees.

If he weren't in this kind of predicament,

Would he ever have the chance to see the real nature of these people?

Would he, ever had the chance to know how cruel their Cultivation World could be toward those beneath their status? Either in Cultivation or Family Status.

Lan Xichen was born high. Both in his cultivation and family status.

He had never seen others below him with disdain, and likewise, he should never have received any either.

He never knew this side of Cultivation Society, where Talented Cultivators looked down on Mediocre ones, and the Mediocre ones looked down on mortals and those of low born.

And now, Lan Xichen wasn't only no longer a Cultivator, but had also become one of those coming from a family with no status.

A perfect punching bag.

They finally arrived at the cave supposed to be the nest of the Three-Headed Serpent.

Lan Xichen had also caught up with the group of GusuLan disciples. No matter what they regarded him as, or how much his presence would impact, he still had to take on his responsibility as their leader.

He thought darkly in his heart, 'Even if I were to be cast away from the task, it can never be me who starts to abandon my post.'

In this case, he'd maintain a spotless image, as a strong-willed yet pitiful leader, who was still struggling to help even if he was so weak and helpless.

Goodness, look at how admirable Lan Xichen was.

Even if he was weak and powerless he still worked harder to do his best. Others mocked him and insulted his dignity, but he kept smiling. He suffered alone in the dark without those people knowing how great his contribution was. What a dedicated person! Everyone's heart should be touched by his goodness!

This kind of impression...

Lan Xichen grinned widely in his mind, 'I would love to have it plastered on my face!'

Oh, how the Morning Sun had started to descend back to the darkness.

At the front, a commotion was heard.

It was Wei Wuxian and Jin Zixuan.

'It's them again.' Lan Xichen thought boredly.

To him, these two were just like immature children.

The way they acted didn't look like an adult at all. They could even fight at the slightest disagreement. They didn't have the grace and composure of an Executive. Simply put, these two weren't the type Lan Xichen would like to befriend. He was inclined toward people whom he could talk with at equal ground, with a similar disposition.

Preferably those who weren't childish and had a broad vision to think about the well-being of the Cultivation World and how to benefit the Common People —— Lan Xichen thought absentmindedly.

His eyes snapped open, however.

He rubbed his temple and secretly laughed at himself.

'What am I thinking? Envisioning the Cultivation World? Dear me...What kind of joke was that?'

It seemed like Lan Xichen had forgotten his place once again.

He was not the exalted Zewu-Jun anymore, no longer the successor of one Major Cultivation Sect.

His focus went back to Jin Zixuan and Wei Wuxian once again.

It wasn't just him, other disciples were also focusing their attention on those 2 youngsters.

One of the disciples whispered to his companion, "They're at it again."

His companion sighed. "Hey...Jin-Gongzi really hates losing, doesn't he?"

"It can't be helped. He has been scolded by Wen Chao every day, if he gets defeated once again by Wei Wuxian, his temper won't be able to stand it."

The other disciple said, "But I really admire Wei-Gongzi. He still can be so high-spirited even in this kind of place."

During these days in their re-education, they were taken to nighthunting several times already. It's unknown whether he's unaware, or Wei Wuxian was indeed deliberately pissing off Wen Chao for revenge for humiliating him every day, but the young cultivator had been excelling in those nighthunts. He showed off his various talents and skills, displaying his ability to be in the top spot even in these forced nighthuntings.

However, it was also unknown whether he was deliberate or not, but his actions seemed to provoke Jin Zixuan. The Jin Sect Heir had been humiliated every day, and then he saw someone else showing off their talent above him every single time. He simply couldn't stand it! As a result, during their forced nighthuntings here, Jin Zixuan and Wei Wuxian were always fighting to have the most contribution in capturing their target.

Sometimes Wei Wuxian won, and sometimes Jin Zixuan won. But considering Wei Wuxian was a one-man army, while Jin Zixuan was supported by the other 19 Jin Sect disciples, it was to be expected. Jiang Cheng absolutely refused to join the fight against the Jin Sect disciples, and warned YunmengJiang disciples strictly not to follow Wei Wuxian. It's not enough to be publicly shamed by Wen Chao from time to time, but he still wanted to attract more attention!

Wei Wuxian didn't mind either way. He was just playing around. He could still beat these Jin disciples by himself.

As expected, the nighthunt this time was over before Lan Xichen knew it.

In the front, Wei Wuxian walked back to the group of YunmengJiang disciples.

Faintly, Lan Xichen heard Jiang Cheng scolding the boy, "I told you not to attract more attention! What the hell is wrong with you? Why do you have to show off!" He punched the boy on the shoulder.

Wei Wuxian feigned a hurt look, and defended himself, "How is that called a show-off? I was simply displaying my abilities. If showing one's talent is called show off, then how should those Scholars display their talent during the Palace Examination by the Emperor?"

Jiang Cheng sneered. "Oh, do you regard Wen Chao as the Emperor then?"

Wei Wuxian laughed. "If we're just looking at his greasy hair, he can be considered similar to a greasy fatuous Emperor."

The other YunmengJiang disciples cackled along with him. Even Jiang Cheng couldn't help but recall the image of Wen Chao's greasy hair and snickered.

"Besides, why are you worrying so much? Look, even Wen Chao doesn't care about it. He can't wait to feel more elated, in fact." Wei Wuxian put his arm around Jiang Cheng's shoulder, dragging the other boy to continue walking.

Soon, the group of YunmengJiang disciples grew farther and farther away from Lan Xichen's position, and he could no longer hear their conversation.

Lan Xichen swept his glance around in a quick motion.

What Wei Wuxian said was indeed the truth.

Wen Chao clearly didn't seem to care. As long as these disciples didn't go against him, he couldn't be bothered. If anything, the more motivated Wei Wuxian and Jin Zixuan were, the happier he was. He could gain more nighthunting prey, and he would have the satisfaction of ordering around these so-called talented Cultivators.

The impact of Wei Wuxian and Jin Zixuan's childish competition was that, the burden on other disciples was significantly lowered.

Lan Xichen who had the lowest burden among the GusuLan disciples was even more free.

Lan Xichen abruptly lifted his head.

He tried to tilt his body upward, as if wanting to find someone's figure in the front.

But in front of him, no matter where his eyes landed, were filled with hundreds of other people's backs.

'...There's no way right?'

There should be no way Wei Wuxian behaved in such for his sake.

It's impossible,

...Isn't it?

LXC: What an immature brat😌

Also LXC later: 👁️👄👁️ He couldn't have done this for my sake right?

How is that possible...
