I participated in the @renegadepublishing bound book exchange again and this is the book I made for Mick at Silent Sun Press.
The fic is a Crowley-centric gen fic so I chose Crowley colours (his black jacket with the red collar) and on the inside I used Japanese Chiyogami paper with a tartan pattern that reminded me strongly of Aziraphale - because Aziraphale is always at Crowley’s core. I used the same paper for the headbands. Basically the design is a nod to the collar on Crowley's jacket in season one, it folds and is bright red on the inside. When Aziraphale is disguised as Crowley, the red is replaced by tartan. Both types of collars are represented here, the tartan headbands snug against the spine, and the spine being bright red 'inside' the black cover boards.
The case is a modified Bradel constructed like a hardcover case and I cased in like a hardback, i.e. the spine of the case is not fixed to the spine of the textblock. A5 size, the text is printed on 90gsm cream Fabriano Arena woodfree acid free paper. the title, author name, and my bindery logo are printed directly onto the bookcloth with an inkjet printer.
