Annabeth loves to pride herself in the fact that she is extremely intelligent. She can do math beyond her years, figure out complex problems in a breeze and can tell you anything you might want to know about architecture, especially Greek and Roman architecture.
One thing she was not smart in though is love. Or just feelings in general. They are complex and just get in the way of things most of the time. Annabeth is able to push down just about any emotion to focus on what needs to be done. Which helps when she is under stress or near spiders. But does not help when it comes to friendships or dating.
Though Annabeth will be the first to tell anyone that she has gotten better on the friendship front of things thanks to Percy and Grover when she was 12. And the proof of this lies in her friendship still with the 2 and the fact of diplomacy and frieship with the 7. Plus Renya. And Nico. But romantic feelings? She can feel herself shudder just at the thought of those.
Those make her feel weird not the friendship weird that she had all those years ago but still weird. It is very intense to. Now she could go the experts on the subject. But…she is not really comfortable with a lot of them. And the one that she is comfortable with is the one that is causing this whole dam problem to begin with.
Yes, Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena has a massive crush on Piper McLean daughter of Aphrodite. Trust her, the irony is not lost with this. Then again she could always ask Mitchell, he was close to Malcom—Annabeth thinks that there is probably something going on there and dose not know how to feel about it—but Mitchell was Pipers younger halfish brother. So that would just make things weird.
Well, she could always go to him…
