Summary
Carter can't get those dreams out of his head. They plague his every waking thought, and his every sleeping thought too. He writes them off as nightmares... until Douxie tells him of a battle fought in the future. Something he's come back to prevent. And Carter starts to think maybe they were never dreams at all. Maybe they're just memories.
Jim doesn't trust Carter yet. He's too stiff, too suspicious of everything and everyone. He kind of reminds Jim of Nomura. But, they're going to have to learn how to get along to protect the world from what he knows is coming.
Douxie wasn't ready to bring his soulmate into this. He wishes he could have let things be, like he did in the last timeline. But he knows if they're going to win, he can't let their most valuable player on the board sitting on the sidelines again.
