Work Text:

"You look like you're thinking hard." Ratchet leaned against the bar next to him, sipping a cocktail through a straw the same color as his drink.

Pharma gestured toward a pair of grounders, red and yellow and not at all the flyer's usual type but they were gloriously glossy and sinfully beautiful. "I am considering which of them I should take home for the night."

"Why not both?" Ratchet grinned at him before taking another drink. He knew exactly who the red and yellow mechs were, and was suddenly eager to see what would happen if Pharma approached them.

"Honestly, Ratchet, I can only stand so much disappointment in a night. They are grounders, after all."

"Sure are." His grin spread as he realized Sideswipe had glanced his way and then tapped Sunstreaker's arm to get his attention. "But if you're not going to shoot your shot..."

"Don't be uncouth." Pharma turned and picked his own drink up as the bartender slid it against his elbow. Then he went back to studying Sideswipe and Sunstreaker.

Or attempting to, because they were making their way over to the bar.

Ratchet smiled at them as the twins sidled up next to him, one on each side and Sunstreaker firmly shoving Pharma a few centimeters away. "Hi there, handsome."

"You here for us?" Sideswipe added with a cheeky grin in Pharma's direction.

"Well, I was," Ratchet replied, unable to resist the urge to needle his classmate just a little bit more, "But Pharma here was thinking about asking one of you to accompany him home tonight."

Sunstreaker's engine growled softly, but Sideswipe pouted. "Aw, only one of us? That's sad."

"Isn't it?" Ratchet let Sideswipe draw him into a brief kiss and then Sunstreaker did the same. "Guess he's going to miss out on all the fun."

"He's pretty," Sideswipe said, looking away from Ratchet for a moment. "He could always come along if he wanted, as long as Sunny doesn't mind."

Now that suggestion he hadn't expected, if only because he had never seen the twins approach a flyer before.

Sunstreaker turned to look at Pharma over his shoulder. "I don't mind if Ratchet doesn't. It might be a fun change."

Pharma looked like someone had grabbed him someplace sensitive. "What?"

"What do you mean 'what'? Do you want to come home with us or not?" Ratchet resisted the urge to roll his optics at his classmate. "Sunny's right, it sounds like fun."

Pharma stared for a moment longer before nodding. "All right, but we're going to my place. I've seen that hovel you live in Ratchet, and I refuse to do anything in that bed."
