Summary
Having met his end at the muzzle of an ion blaster in the hands of Optimus Prime, Megatron had long accepted it as the inevitable conclusion to both his reign and the war. What he did not expect was for the Primes themselves to take pity— granting the warlord one final chance to atone for his sins.
He awakens in a frame he never thought he’d inhabit again.
The cogless miner who once knew nothing of tyranny or power— D-16.
Now burdened with memory and fractured identity, the question looms: will D-16 rise once more as the infamous Megatron, or will he bury the Decepticon warlord for good?
TL;DR: The Transformers One movie, but D-16 remembers far more than he should. The knowledge alters him— twisting his path, deepening his regrets, and transforming his bond with Orion Pax into something quite far from just platonic.

“What do you want with me, Prime?” Megatron asked, over it all.
“I want you,” Optimus said.
Megatron had to clench his servos to restrain himself.
After a moment, a moment too long–Optimus took a little mercy on him, speaking again;
“I want you…to have a drink with me, back at my hab, and talk a little…you know, like old times.”
Megatron still has his doubts and uncertainty. Which are only fueled when Optimus decides to risk their perfectly fine balanced friendship they've kept for cycles now
...Not to mention, his sudden new shaking near Megatron.

“D!” he called out, running after him.
Vividly, his best friend's marching back resembled one of a much taller, dangerous frame, before Orion managed to clasp his arms around D-16 in a tackle.
“Agh! Pax!” D grunted, almost tipping over but steadying himself. Cycles of practice by being Orion pax bestfriend. He faced Orion with bewilderment, as if he didn’t expect Orion to go after him.
“Please,” Orion tightened his hold, begging, “talk to me.”
The Matrix decides to play cupid, and shove the two in a makeshift closet, which is essentially a dream world of their own.
It would take a whole more than that to make peace together, but it was a start.
