Keiji doesn't look up when the store bell chimes, concentrating on the flower arrangement he is currently working on.
Most costumers like to take a look around first before they approach him and this one doesn't seem to be different.
He hears them walk around the store, occasionally standing in front of some flowers before taking another couple of steps.
When Keiji looks up again he feels his cheeks heat up immediately at the sight of toned, fully tattooed arms belonging to one Iwaizumi Hajime.
It's not a new sight (and certainly not unwelcome); they have met before, Iwaizumi works at the tattoo parlor across the street.
He's the one who did Keiji's first tattoo (a delicate lavender design on his wrist). And the second one (A much larger cherry blossom design starting at his hips and going up his side).
He'll also be doing his next one. Keiji already set up an appointment.
Anyways-
"What can I help you with?"
"I want, um, flowers I guess," Iwaizumi says awkwardly and looks around helplessly.
Keiji suppresses a laugh.
"People usually want flowers when they come here," he says. "You've been here to get flowers before."
It's funny, really, the way Iwaizumi radiates self-confidence inside his tattoo shop but once he steps into Keiji'a territory he gets kind of insecure. It's adorable but Keiji is not sure he's allowed to tell him. Yet.
Iwaizumi clears his throat.
"I wanted to ask you out," he says and Keiji's eyes widen. "On a date."
"Oh," Keiji says dumbly because he is surprised but thinking about it, the way they've been dancing around each other, he really shouldn't be. "Today?"
Iwaizumi nods, then says, "Whenever you want to."
"Today then," Keiji says smiling and Iwaizumi smiles back at him.
"Should I bring flowers?"
