Work Text:

"Wow, that's... amazing..."

Justin laughs, genuinely impressed at what he'd just heard. It was really beautiful indeed.

"It was so awesome, it was- it was gorgeous!"

"Oh, don't say that... I've gotta stay humble, you know? It's a part of my charm."

Justin smiled at the smirk Trent did, leaning up against the wall. Justin layed on his stomach on the bed, with his feet dangling in the air and his head being held up by his palms.

"Your charm?"

He snickered, Trent copies.

"Yeah! Without it, why else would you like me?"

Trent sits his guitar up against the wall, and walks over to sit on the bed next to Justin. Justin had been living with him for a few weeks, just to get away from his parents if not to spend more time with Trent. Justin's nails gently scrapped against his own face, as he didn't expect Trent to sit by him.

"Well, you're nice... and you're kind, and funny, and hard working, and... you really care. You put effort into things... and you're super clean, so that's a plus."

Trent chuckled. He layed himself down on his back, then turned his head to face Justin.

"I think you'd kill me if I wasn't clean. I'm glad I need it. It just makes things easier, I guess... but still, I think that all falls under charm."

Trent reaches up a hand to lightly graze Justin's face, brushing a small chunk of hair from his face. Justin's face turns a slight red shade, and he awkwardly grins. He removes his hands from his chin, and layed down on the bed next to Trent. The two of them faced opposite directions, as if they were the advertising poster for "The Fault In Our Stars". The two of them gazed at the other, who seemed upside down to eachother.

"Is this a good angle?"

Justin questioned with a smirk, and Trent blushed, slightly turning his gaze away from Justin to hide his embarrassment.

"Well... all of your angles are good angles... you know that... don't make me... say it..."

Justin knew he was fishing for compliments. They both did. He just liked how flustered it made Trent. Trent's eyes moved back to Justin's face. He adjusted his shoulders, and pushed his own face closer to Justin's. Almost too close. Definitely too close for anybody but Trent.

"Even this one..."

Trent's eyes fluttered closed, and he planted a soft kiss on Justin's lips despite being upside down compared to the blue eyed boy. Justin was about to lean into the kiss before-...

...

... before he woke up.

Justin sleepily moved his hand up to rub the sleep from his eyes, and he shut off the sound of the alarm. It signaled the fact that he had to wake up for school now. Justin groaned. Who liked school? Justin picked up his phone, and let his eyes adjust to the light. He noticed a text message from someone very important.

Trent.

Trent <3333  — 6:32am

Want me to drive you to school? I got up super early by accident and I have time to get you. :))))

Justin grinned tiredly, he was about to reply before he heard a knock on his window. He jumped in his bed, not having expected it. Justin pulled back the curtains, and looked to see Trent awkwardly waving with his cute, dorky smile. Justin sighed with a lovesick grin as he gently placed his hand on the glass. Trent placed his opposing hand on the glass to match him, like they were Jane and Tarzan. They looked into eachother's eyes, not having a clue what the other was thinking.

They didn't know it, but they were both thinking;

I love you.

Notes:

i think they might like eachother 🫣
