Dick watched as his little ran around, digging through everything within sight.
“Jaybird, what're you doing kiddo?”
Jason didn't answer, instead opting to keep rummaging through a toy bin.
Dick sighed and stood from his spot on the bed nearby. He padded over to where Jason was now searching the closet and crouched down to Jay's level.
“Jason, kiddo, what are you looking for?”
Finally Jason paused and looked to Dick, and the older was surprised to see tears welling in his pretty teal eyes.
Jason's lip trembled, “I can't find Wing!”
Dick smiled sympathetically. ‘Wing’ was one of Jason's most prized plushies and normally he'd carry it everywhere.
He must have lost it the last time he regressed…
Dick sighed, unsure of how to break the news to his little boy that Wing was gone.
Suddenly Dick was knocked over by none other than Jason himself who was grinning.
“Dickie! I found it! I found Wing!”
Except it wasn't Wing, or at least, not the real one.
See, Wing was a Nightwing plush that Dick had gotten for Jay when he first learned of his brother's regression. The imposter Wing was a newer version of the same plush with minor adjustments to match his current suit.
Dick supposed Jason didn't notice or didn't mind the changes in favor of having his Wing back.
He stayed laying on the floor, Jason giggling happily on top of him.
Dick was just happy that he didn't have to tell his brother that Wing was gone…
