"I know," he answered back, his throat closing up as tears well in his eyes. "I'm sorry I didn't fight harder for us to have control. I could've... I could have threatened to go public with what they were doing to us. I could have gotten lawyers involved. I could have just ignored their rules and let them target me instead of us all. I'm sorry mate."
