“NO! We aren’t letting you do this! If they want all of us then we’ll show them!!” A short-tempered voice of a woman yelled at her captain who wore a sad smile while he looked at his crew with his mind already made up about what he was doing and of course the woman knew but she and the others didn’t like this at all but they knew that their captain would not change his mind no matter what, especially if it was for his crew- no. Nakama, and it was..
”I have too Nami.. for you all!” His smile grew into a more guilty one and they hated that since he shouldn’t be guilty at all! It was their fault this happened to begin with and it was their fault that their had to bail them out! They should be able to bail themselves out now, not waiting for their captain to come and save them, it should be the other way around! “Even if it costs me my life, I’ll do anything to protect my Nakama from death..” Their captain looked so tired and drained since the deal and the man, his grandfather, standing behind him was frowning and in deep thought as
his grandson was taken away by a random low life marine, he walked right passed him and the world seemed to slow a little bit as the pirate king made eye contact with and the next words from the kings mouth left the man thinking about some things.. “Bye gramps! Love ya!” Those words were said so cheerfully as if the person who spoke wasn’t about to be executed for the pirate crew who became his family.. he had been called ‘gramps’ one last time by the boy who had become the pirate king, by the boy he was supposed to take care of after his mother died and left him to him and a woman named Makino but he had failed, failed the promise that he made his daughter-in-law..

The crowd cheered as the pirate king stepped out onto the recently rebuilt execution platform with Akainu behind him with a sword made out of sea-stone that was pointed at his back. The crowd the saw this man on the platform as an powerful and dangerous pirate king whom they started to fear after he became the king and since he had such a high bounty at the start too and they were so relieved to be free of the pirate king, it was like a dream come true! But.. while the crowd was smiling and cheering there were some people who wore a somber aura around them as they glared at the people around them cheering for their captain’s death, said captain was wearing a content smile and sad look in his eyes
while his Nakama were silent with shame about how badly they failed him and about how badly things went because of them but as soon as they looked up they were surprised to see that their captain was smiling at them through the crowd with a gleam of contentment in his eyes because he was dying for his Nakama and his face held no regrets on it either but they did have those regrets and those regrets would sallow them whole for the rest of their lives…
while a man in the shadows was watching everything happen with his heart heavy in his chest knowing he can’t save his little brother despite his own wishes to do so but Sabo wouldn’t dare upset his little brother’s dying wish and it just hurt knowing that Luffy didn’t want to be saved from his own death this time.. just like Ace did and he lost him too.. but Luffy would be with Ace soon so he won’t be alone and he knows that Ace would scold Luffy for what he’s sacrificed.. He saw Luffy smile and his smile still shined brighter than the sun and it only made his heart crumble even more when he remembered when Luffy used to smile at him like that..
The man who was standing at the widow that viewed the platform had been thinking on how he had failed his grandson after he had failed to help save his other grandson and let him die.. and it seems that history will repeat itself now since Garp has again failed to save his grandson from death’s fate.. if only he pushed Luffy harder in training and a little less on the marine side maybe these things wouldn’t have happened..
A scoff was heard around the people who had died in the afterlife by none other then Ace, who looked about pissed that his baby brother, who never deserved to be executed, was about to meet him in the shitty afterlife where he NEVER wanted Luffy to end up in before his late twenties.. but Ace did almost never get what he wanted and he knew that Luffy wanted to give up his life for his Nakama and Ace knew two things! One, never EVER betray or hurt or lose your Nakama(pops had drilled that into his head) and two, NEVER argue against Luffy about something when he sets out to do it so you’ll just gotta support him in every way you can(he learned that the hard way..) but it still hurt knowing his little baby brother was gonna die before he turned 25(Luffy’s 22) and by the hands of his own murderer.. now all he could do was watch as Luffy took his last breath and spoke his last words..

He took a breath and the crowd seemed to calm down just a bit after awhile and Akainu looked at the pirate king with a smug look knowing he had been the to capture the little pest(his words not mine!) and even though he was a pirate, he would grate the king his last words since he was feeling generous lately.. “Any last words pirate king?” He yelled out and that caused the crowd to quiet down so they could hear the man about to speak “Yeah actually! To my Nakama, don’t cry for me okay? My death for you all is to be remembered and known as how I met you all not how I failed those who trusted me and not about the one piece which I leave behind for someone else to find to be the next pirate king!!” Just as he finished speaking and took his final greedy breath, he felt the sword plugged into his back and though his stomach with how fast it was stabbed into him and it hurt beyond all hell because it had been a long
time since something had actually hurt him but no, he wouldn’t scream or cry in pain because that’s not what a pirate king does! He looks strong in front of his Nakama to show he isn’t afraid of death and to be honest since he ate his devil fruit he never was and really never was scared when he thought he truly was close to death at times and now he had just accepted his fate since he knew Akainu was going to hurt his Nakama if he didn’t and he couldn’t risk it.. not anymore, after Ace died he swore to never anyone ever again and trained for two years to protect his loved ones from the same fate he’s facing now.. So he watched on as the blood from his own body flowed out from him and down onto the platform and he smiled because he knew his Nakama and he knew they wouldn’t cry for him like he asked and he smiled knowing his legacy will never be forgotten just like Gol D. Roger’s wasn’t… his Nakama would make sure of it..
gasps were heard as they saw the now bloodied pirate king was smiling and looked cheerful but his Nakama weren’t going to cry like some of the adults and children were since their captain had said not too and they wouldn’t not follow an order from him as he was the only one that they would follow, to hell and back for their captain and they would be strong and make sure he was remembered to be the best pirate and pirate king in the world! But Sabo wasn’t as strong as his baby brother’s crew as he stared at his now formally dead little baby brother whom he swore to protect but failed with tears falling from his eyes as he tired to blink them back but they just kept flowing down and he hated it.. the old marine was silent as he saw his grandson die at 22 but he could only of his own failure to protect him..
suddenly it was like time had slowed and everything stopped abruptly and that made the pirates and marine go into a fighting stance but Sabo could only stare in front of him as he saw Ace standing there in a fighting stance alive.. he has ran to him full speed since he couldn’t believe his brother was here and breathing(not really) as well! But the others were worried about the figure near them with a white solid smile on their face and it was a tense silence before the creature spoke..
”Maaa~ You’ve seem to have lost your little ol’ captain huh? Well just so happens that I can fix that!!” The creature grinned and Garp was ready to attack when the navigator of his grandson’s crew spoke up as if she were going negotiate which was not a smart idea in reality but he knew nothing of her so he couldn’t really trust what she’s says.. “How can we trust you and how can fix what has already happened? Where are we?!” She demanded since she was literally trying to grieve for her captain like others when they were taken again .. boy did they need that again.. “Oh, my apologies! I never introduced myself, I am ?$&€¥- ! I ate the Jingen Jingen No Mi and stole from the Toki Toki No Mi~ hehe!! So I help you by sending you.. BACK IN TIME!!” The creat-thing yelled out happily as if it hadn’t just dropped a bombshell on them that she ate and stole from two devil fruits!
But what did it mean by ‘send them back in time’? Could it really help them get Luffy back? Should they trust it? They had to ask to be sure!! “Can we really trust you? What do you mean by sending us back in time? What do you gain from this??” They all questioned(mostly Sabo) and M only smirked before she began again “Well, by sending you back in time it mean you go to the past! I thought people knew what that meant? And yes you can’t trust me because why would I want to help you get you your captain back? But that begs the question..” ut stood for a moment only to grin like the Cheshire Cat and let out a laugh only for it to stop a minute later which put them all at edge(-Garp,he’s seen shit lmao) “As for what I want.. I just wanna see the fun and chaos I can make with breaking and bending the laws of reality!! It’s just so fun! Oh- and Luffy wasn’t supposed to die this early lmao! L, get good loser!” It laughed while pointing at Luffy’s frozen in-time corpse which irked them a lot and they weren’t gonna question the last few words say but to hear that he wasn’t supposed to die was almost to real to hear since it only made the guilt and shame rise more..
”Soo~ Do you all agree to go back in-time and save and take care of Luffy?” It grinned again while it asked which snapped them back into reality with the question and of course they were going to yes but surprisingly it was Ace who asked the next question! “There’s a ‘but’ isn’t there? No one would do this without any rules!” When he asked, it only gave him a pout but immediately grinned again but at him this time.. “Welll~ You did ask! You have to stick to your original pasts, While yes, you can train! Just don’t the first chance you get, as it’ll harm your body and I don’t wanna deal with that! And never second guess what’ll change since that’ll also fuck everything up! And do not under any circumstance do you ever let it slip about anything from the time you are from !” The last it said with a lot of force to make it got in their heads and when it gots nods of agreement and was about to send them off the archeologist named Nico Robin spoke
”What if we are too close to revealing anything?” But that didn’t faze the girl helping them but it did get a frown out of it.. “Well.. uh- I’ll- I’ll help you out by freezing time for you an- and you make it seem like a joke! Though.. Garp.. you will be brought back much later okay? I know you’ll tell Sengoku!” It glared at Garp but he has seen worse and just grinned and nodded since he knew he wouldn’t(couldn’t) keep it from Sengoku and he was fine with that! “Alright! Let’s get this show on the road, ready y’all? GOOD!!” It yelled out and clapped three times and a flash of light took them.. They would not fail again.. they would protect him from everyone and everything..
They would protect him from himself..
