Work Text:

Odin Borson dreamed.
The two Einherjaras stepped foward at the All-Father's command. "You wanted to see us, sire?"
"Yes." Odin sighed. He had made a good decision at least, choosing these particular men for the job. Both hated Jotuns with an unbridled ferocity. "I need you to find Narvi and Vàli Lokison and... dispose of them."
The All-Father refused to react to the soldier's confused and alarmed gazes. "They are at Sigyn's home. Take them as far from the city as possible. No one must see or hear of what you will do," he continued. He straightened his posture and looked the guards in the eye. "They are Jotun, and not what they seem. It's for the security of Asgard."
It was. It had to be. If he let these children live like he did their father, they would grow up to bring destruction in their wake. Like father, like son. He had learned that lesson.
If he let those twins live, they would be Loki's revenge.

Vàli Theoricson dreamed.
It was a little late to be out, the sun still shining in cracks between the trees, but Sigyn was a permissive mother, much to the delight of her twin sons.
"Come on brother, what are you doing? I want to watch the Einherjaras march by!" whined a very small boy with dark hair and green eyes, pulling at another boy's sleeve. Narvi glared at his twin.
"I was turning this blade of grass into an arrow, like Mother showed us. You ruined my concentration!" the other boy complained. His hair was jet black, his skin completely blue, unlike his twin, who had only blue markings. "And besides, they're already coming this way. Hello sir. What are you doing? Sir..?

Loki Laufeyson dreamed...
"Wake up brother!"
Loki rose up from bed, brushing his ebony hair out of his eyes. He glanced up at Thor, who stood in the doorway of his room, foot tapping impatiently.
"You really should simply knock, instead of busting in like a savage," the prince yawned.

His dream was forgotten, his dream of what it would be like to have children to love and care for.
