“You should take a quiz.”
Akito looked up from his laptop, where he was working on a group project with Nene. Hovering over their desks was An, who was also supposed to be working on the group project but, for some reason, wasn’t. She was grinning at Akito, a mischievous glint in her eyes.
She was up to no good again, Akito could tell.
“What,” he muttered, frowning at her, squinting his eyes at her suspiciously. “What quiz.”
“A sexuality quiz!” Before Akito could stop her, she was already grabbing his laptop and searching for said quiz. Akito groaned and tried to grab it back, but Nene restrained him from doing so with a small smug smile.
“No, no, An’s right. You should take this quiz,” Nene said simply, exchanging a look with An.
“But, I know my sexuality! Obviously, I’m straight!” Akito protested. “Have you seen me with the ladies?”
“What ‘ladies’?!” Nene asked, rolling her eyes. “The only ‘lady’ you hang around with is Ena, and she’s your goddamn sister, so she doesn’t count.”
“Nuh-uh-uh, you little gay shit, you’re taking this quiz right now. This will prove that you, Shinonome Akito, are absolutely not straight,” An countered, slamming his laptop in front of him. The tab he was on now was a website for a “What Is Your Sexuality” quiz.
Akito gave the two girls an unimpressed look. “I told you that I’m straight!”
“ Sure , grandpa, let’s get you to bed,” Nene deadpanned.
“Do. The. Quiz,” An demanded.
“No, over my dead ass body,” Akito retorted.
“I’ll buy you cheesecake after school if you do,” An bribed with a grin.
Fuck. She really knew how to tempt him. He rolled his eyes. “Fine, fine. But, you’d better live up to that promise.”
An winked. “I always keep my promises,” she said.
She’s definitely lying… Nene thought, shaking her head.
Akito turned to his laptop. “Okay. First, I have to enter my name…” He quickly typed his name into the empty space as Akito The Straight just to spite An and Nene.
An read the first question aloud, “‘In the past, which sex have you been attracted to more?’”
Akito rolled his eyes. “What kind of question is this… Obviously, it’s the female gender.” He clicked the opposite gender option.
That was when Nene accidentally dropped her textbook on the ground. Because he was such a good friend, Akito bent down to help her pick it up. While he was distracted, Nene shot An a look, and An switched the option to the same gender option just before Akito sat up straight again. Akito, of course, didn’t see anything wrong and clicked the Next button.
“‘Have you ever dated someone the same sex as you?’” Nene read.
“No, duh. I only look for the ladies, never the men,” Akito answered.
An snorted. “Oh, really? What was that the other day, then? With Toya and all? You two holding hands during practice?”
“ That was a bro thing; you two wouldn’t understand,” Akito told her and Nene.
Just as he was about to click the No, I haven’t option, Nene snatched the mouse from him and clicked the ‘Once or twice’ option.
Akito glared at her. “Hey!”
An smirked at Nene. “Good move,” she said.
Nene returned the smile and clicked the ‘Next’ button.
“Have I ever been in a solid relationship- No. Never,” Akito said, and this time, it was the complete truth.
“Didn’t you say you have a lot of ‘ladies’,” An commented, making finger quotes.
Akito paused, then he changed his answer to ‘Yes, with someone of the opposite gender’. This time, he made sure to click the Next button before the other two could change his answer.
“Next question: Who was your first love-” Akito began.
“Tenma-senpai,” An said instantly with a grin.
“Tsukasa,” Nene said at the same time.
Akito groaned loudly, burying his face in his hands. “Can you guys not?! That was so long ago!”
Now, he didn’t like Tsukasa in that way! He was a great friend and all, but he didn’t like him like that anymore. Besides, Tsukasa was with that other weirdo, Rui. So, he didn’t really care anymore. Still, it was embarrassing to remember hat he used to have a crush on Tsukasa of all people!
An grabbed his mouse and clicked the Someone of the same sex , and Akito did not object, since it was basically the truth.
The next question read, Do you dream of kissing with someone of the same or opposite sex?
Akito froze, remembering that one time when he was daydreaming in class and thought of Toya… He whacked Nene and An away, flailing his arms at them. “Don’t look!” he hissed as he pressed the Same gender button.
“I SAW THAT, AKITO!!!” An yelled out, smiling like a mad woman. “I FUCKING SAW THAT!!”
“SHUT UP, SHUT UP, YOU DID NOT !!!” he screamed.
“IT’S TOYA, ISN’T IT?!” Nene shouted as well.
“NO!!! NO IT’S NOT!!!”
“YOU BIG FAT ASS LIAR!!” An screamed at him.
“SHUT UP!!” Akito shrieked before he clicked the Next button.
An merely grinned and slapped his back as she sat back down in her seat, while Nene gave Akito a smug grin. Akito groaned inwardly and rolled his eyes. Whatever. At this point, he didn’t really care anymore.
“‘Do you find the same sex attractive?’” Akito read the question.
“Yes; very much,” Nene deadpanned, resulting in An snorting at her words.
Akito glared at them and sighed before picking the It depends on their personality option. Then, he clicked the Next button to move on to the next question.
Do you find the opposite gender attractive? the next question read.
“Yeah, duh. After all, I do have a lot of ladies,” Akito said before the other two could say anything, ignoring the looks they were giving him which he could tell meant Yeah right, you little gay shit . Though, he clicked the It depends on their personality option after much pondering.
“‘What is your opinion on homosexuality?’” Nene read aloud to them.
“...” Wordlessly, Akito picked the I think I’m homosexual, and I accept it fully option. Only he really wouldn’t accept it if he really was one of those people.
As she watched his gloomy face pick said option, An began to clutch her stomach and laugh her ass off, while Nene hid her smile behind a hand. “Hah!! You really are gay!!” An cheered.
“Shut it, An!” Akito cried out as he went to the next question.
“Which gender do I find more physically attractive…” Akito muttered, then he thought of Toya. His gentle and kind smile, the way he laughed at something witty Akito said, and the way he was there for Akito in his darkest moments, while Akito was there for his bad days. With a tiny smile, he clicked the Same gender option.
This time, neither Nene or An commented, and only exchanged knowing looks.
“‘After this quiz, what do you think your sexuality is?’” Nene read to them.
“...”
Akito immediately clicked the Heterosexual option.
An’s jaw dropped. “YOU LITERALLY JUST- I- YOU-!” she shrieked, drawing the attention of their fellow classmates. However, said classmates didn’t really care. After all, the three of them were already considered a little weird for being friends with the Weirdo Combo. Thus, they turned back to their work.
Akito rolled his eyes. “Shut it, Shiraishi. I will prove it to you.” He clicked the Next button, and the page loaded.
Now, the long awaited truth.
Nene and An leaned closer to the laptop, and Akito couldn’t help but hold his breath as well.

“HAH!! LOSER!!!” An screamed and high-fived Nene, who was smiling smugly as well.
Written on the screen in bold were the words Homosexual .
Akito was, literally, at a loss for words. “...” was all he said.
An continued to dance around the classroom, dragging Nene along with her. She spun Nene around, while Nene protested for her to stop. Akito didn’t even turn around to make fun of An’s gay ass, or Nene getting dizzy. He could only stare at his result in total disbelief as his face got redder and redder.
