Max is completely tone deaf, but he is having so much fun, putting so much energy into performing at his worst, that Daniel can’t help but-
fall in love with him.
It’s not some kind of Nirvana he reaches throughout meditation while on a journey to finally accept that he likes fucking with men - as if his Grindr history isn’t proof enough -, rather the sudden grasp on something that has been there all along, although buried so deep he himself had a hard time realizing its true meaning – until he sees Max, his Max, wild and jaunty at a cheap karaoke, singing badly and laughing so hard that tears stream down his sweaty face. This is when Daniel is done for good. You just cannot press the fuck go back button on that, you just let the flow drag you and hope - pray? - for the best.Daniel longs for Max. Max longs for Daniel. Neither of them is ready to acknowledge it and chaos ensues.
