I was working with Law on his swordsmanship when it started snowing. I shivered when I felt the flakes hit my face.
“Want to call it a day?” Law asked.
“Yeah, that’s probably best,” I said. “Let’s head back before the snow gets too bad.”
The two of us started the walk back to where the Donquixote Pirates stayed. As we got closer I noticed Doffy on the balcony watching us. Law went inside while I went up to talk to Doffy.
“He’s making a lot of progress,” I said once I joined him.
“That’s because he has you as a teacher,” he said.
“Oh please, Diamante does all the work. I just give him someone new to practice with,” I said.
As the two of us talked the wind started to pick up causing me to shiver.
“Getting cold?” he asked.
“You know I don’t handle the cold well,” I said, looking at him with a slight glare. “Why you insist on staying in the North I’ll never know.”
He chuckled as he took off his feather coat and draped it over my shoulders. It was more like a blanket on me then it was a coat.
“I know you don’t like it, but you look so beautiful in the snow,” he said.
“Thank you, for the compliment and the coat,” I said with a smile. “But can we go inside now?”
“Come on, let’s go get you warmed up,” he said.
“You know, if you ever decide to leave Spider Miles you should consider going to a warmer island,” I said as we walked inside. “Maybe then I’d come around more.”
“I’ll have to keep that in mind,” he said, putting his arm around me as we walked.
