Ariden Agreste. That was who was under the Chat Noir mask. That was who Marienette was dating. If only middle school she could see her now. Sne would have had her pants shocked off and fly to the sky. A laugh came out of her at the thought just then noticing Chat-Aridens expression. He was worried. This just made her laugh harder.
"Sorry, I just-just had the biggest crush on this version of-of you in middle school. Marienette explained, laughing all the while. I am just imagining her finding out that I am dating you."
"You're not mad?" Ariden/chat asks her, looking at her as if she has just lost her mind.
"Why would I be mad?" Mariette asked, looking Ariden up and down, making sure he too was okay. "I mean unless you fucked up somehow but depending on the thing I am sure we can work through it-"
"No, no. I just, we know each other well civ manly. And after everything that happened I know wasn't that close and you fell away for obvious reasons but-" To stop his silly rambling about whatever he had convinced himself of doing wrongly, she kissed him and came back down onto her feet—which were yelling at her to get back down out of pain—to see him positively blushing.
"But you were there. Not as Ariden but as Chat Noir but you were there. You were there."
"That is great-"
"Ahhmen." A small voice sounded out and looking down between them at a small floating black cat with yellow eyes. "I am so glad you are having this moment and all but do you perhaps have some cheese?" Ariden shot him a dirty look for a moment to which the cat responded in kind. "My apologies ma'am I am Plagg Ariden kaumi. The thing that makes him Chat Noir. But would you pl-" Plagg was cut off with Ariden stuffing cheese in his mouth.
"Don't mind him." Ariden said looking at Marienette with the expression of love that was normally being a black mask now shown in every ounce that she used to dream of seeing on Chat Noir's face and when she was younger Aridens face.
"Speaking of confessions," Marinette started feeling a bit more nervous then she would have thought to be. Ariden looked at her with a chocked eyebrow and smirk on his face, an expression that Marienette would have never thought would be on Aridens face. It was something that he would do. "I am well Nobody," seeing his confusion on his face Marinette quickly explained feeling painfully like her middle school self. Though it was still a rush that felt in a weird way good. "Nobody as in the person who talks to Ladybug and now all of you-"
"How do you know so much about all the vigilante stuff?" Ariden asks and then winces and mumbles an apology.
"Easy Kitty. A girl never tells all her secrets, where would be the fun in all of that?" Ariden takes the answer in stride seemingly.
"Of course my smart girl would be able to do something like this." The blush that was covering her face had gotten a whole lot darker and stronger. She felt as though all her blood was going to her face and her heart was going to pound out of her chest. It felt as though her body was light into a flame. A flame that was she was going to lean into.
"Why speak like that if your going to do nothing about it?" Marienette teases coming up to kiss him thought pulling away rather quickly. "You should probably get going. Dont want people to see all of this. "
"One more kiss?" Ariden asks looking at Marinette a little disappointed. It is her turn now to smirk at his antics. "One more kiss Kitty that is all I am giving you."
