Summary
His body felt like the ocean, salty waves rippling through every nerve, tearing him apart from the inside. He had no control left in his body to so much as pull his head up, much the less leave the prison of his bed.
Nico couldn’t feel the sweat dripping down his face, as his heart beat struggled to keep up with his lapsing brain. He didn’t realize his flickering eyes were rolling into the back of his head, his vision strobing as every color imaginable drowned him.
Because all he could do was laugh.
Not necessarily because it was funny, although everything did feel funny to Nico right now, but because it felt like heaven.
A heaven no one had to know. A heaven he wouldn’t remember in the morning.

Nico takes the euphoric and unhealthy ways out of feeling pain and everyone’s oblivious to it.
