Whoopee! The carnival's in town!

Summary:

Dr. Coomer and Tully discuss what they like about the carnival.

written on 2/6/24 at 2 am (technically 2/7/24…)

My favorite line in the Entirety of hlvrai is dr. coomer going “whoopee! the carnival’s in town!” so that’s the inspiration for this fic x3 the words “carnival” and “fair” get really blended together in my mind though so this is moreso about the Fair than about a carnival because I have clearer memories of going to the county fair so it's easier for me to write about. plus I like connecting happy memories of mine to dr coomer because I really love him
also I’m not really experienced with writing dialogue for dr coomer so sorry if it sounds kinda clunky I’m still trying to figure out how to get it to sound like him
also also this has my oc tully who is tommy's twin brother and is dr. coomer’s boyfriend

TULLY
Didn’t you say something earlier about liking the carnival?

DR. COOMER
Why yes I did, Tully! I love the carnival! The taste of the foods, the screams from the roller coasters, all the cute little animals, there’s just nothing quite like it!

TULLY
What’s your favorite thing about the carnival?

DR. COOMER
Hmmm… my favorite thing about the carnival is all of the carnival games! Especially the punching bag game! I always get the highest score! What about you, Tully? Do you like the carnival?

TULLY
Yeah, yeah! My favorite thing about it is the rides! I like those swing towers where you sit in them and it swings you around really fast!

DR. COOMER
Really? I thought you were afraid of heights like Dr. Bubby!

TULLY
I am, but it’s way easier if I’m sitting.

DR. COOMER
I see! Well, next time the carnival’s in town, we should ride it together!

TULLY
Ok! And I’ll watch you throw your score-winning punches!

DR. COOMER
Sounds like a plan! I’ll put on an excellent show for you, my dear!
