Anyone who crossed Four’s path that day was in serious danger. They would face his wrath. He would shred them to pieces. He would make them regret ever being alive. Or, rather, that’s what he wanted to do right now.
Wind kept trying to talk to him despite the fact that Four was not paying attention. He didn’t understand the words, but the sound reverberated through his skull like a hockey puck. He wanted to scream. But he didn’t, he just let Wind drone on and on, because Wind was his brother, and that’s what brothers do.

“--our, Four!”
Four flinched at the hand touching his shoulder and the voice so close to his ear.
“You paying attention? We need some help over here.”
Four turned to look at Legend. “What can I do to help?” he mumbled.
“Well, to start, you could go get some firewood like we’ve been asking you to do.”
Four frowned and stood up from the log he was sitting on. He wanted to make some comment back, but he was scared that as angry as he was, he would say something he would regret, so he nodded and stood up from the log he had immediately sat down on when they chose their camping spot.
Four came back with the wood, and immediately saw Wind making a beeline for him, Wild following behind and trying to stop him to no avail.
“Four, Wild broke his sword again!”
That was the final straw. Screw the pain in his head. He dropped the wood and looked up to the sky and screamed.
And then he turned around and stormed out of camp, angry tears running down his face
~~~
Four didn’t know how much later it was when he heard footsteps behind him, but his headache had dissipated and his tears were dried,
“Hey, Rancher,” he mumbled sheepishly.
“Hey, Smithy.” Twilight replied, sitting down on the ground next to him with a grunt. “Feeling any better?”
Four nodded. “Sorry.”
Twilight hesitated for a moment before replying. “Thank you. You ready to come back, or do you need some more time?
“I’m ready,” Four said, sighing and standing up.
Together, the two heroes walked back to camp, hand in hand.
