DISCLAIMER: this fic is four years old. I wrote it when I was an edgy teen and as such the writing, while good for my age at the time, may not be up to my current standards.
In an AU where Toby Fox, instead of making a game, discovered a multiverse, unethical experiments are going on behind the scenes. Proposed as an alternative to disrupting timelines, the late Dr. Kelvin Turner and his successor Zagane Birsha painfully transform humans into the most powerful monsters in each timeline - among others - using a combination of magic extracted from the fossils of monsters in their own world and the MPM (Magic Particle Makeup; the monster equivalent of DNA) of whomever they will become.
Meanwhile, the multiverse is accepted as a part of everyday life. The monsters are treated as celebrities, albeit celebrities only known from records of other timelines. Some even have crushes on them, which can be important leverage in forcing transformation subjects to accept their fate.
Five individuals are destined to stop this madness, but the journey will be far from easy... and they will not come out the same as they once were.
