Nimona liked to think she was smart, she had been about for hundreds of years after all. But she would just like to ask: where the actual hell was she? It was like the Kingdom but less developed? She couldn’t tell. Maybe it was outside the wall? She’d never seen it though.
She wandered through alleys trying to find people who would know what’s going on. Maybe she could ask a bird? Looking around, she couldn’t see too many, and the ones she did see, looked rude. People it is! She carried on through the alley, occasionally stopping to chase the odd rat, until she came onto a main street.
It was massive! Cars drove around on the ground, and people walked around entering shops and talking to others. She looked around at the people, looking for someone who may be able to help- Did that guy have a cactus head!? Now that she was looking, there were a lot of people with some very not human-y things for limbs. One girl even looked like she was talking to a cat! And that guy was-
BOOM!
A loud sound washed over the street, effectively cutting her off. She turned to stare at a man made of… sludge? How did that even work? People started screaming with a few wearing weird costumes running up to the sludge man. Was this normal? She decided to get closer.
The sludge man, was yelling in a different language and got louder as the costume people got closer. More explosions rang out through the street. They seemed to be coming from inside the sludge man. Nimona looked closer. Was that a child? A screaming, blonde boy, was inside the goop. His screams cut out as the goo made its way into the blonde’s mouth. That looked disgusting! Maybe she should help? Turn into a rhino and charge at them? Before she could make a decision, a small, green haired boy rushed past her.
“Kacchan!” The boy had thrown his bag at the two and started scraping at the goop. Yeah, she should help. Making sure no one could get in the way of her shift, Nimona quickly turned into a rhino. Some people stopped to stare at her as she charged in to help the boy.
“INCOMING!” she yelled a warning to the boys before she smashed into the sludge. Bits of it went flying as Nimona transformed into her teen form to catch the green and blonde kids. “You good?” the green haired boy nodded quickly, whilst the blonde just looked confused.
One of the costume people yelled at them, they sounded angry. But it wasn’t long until they were let go and Nimona decided to stay with the kids, they looked like they knew what they were doing, which was a lot better than what she had going for her.
“So!” the green one looked at her. The blonde scoffed and turned to walk away from them he looked strangely annoyed. “I’m Nimona! What about you?”
“I-I’m Midoriya Izuku!” Cool! A name for the face! Nimona smiled. “You’re quirk is so cool!”
“Quirk?”
“Yeah! When you turned into that rhino! It was so cool! It would really help with heroics…” Midoriya started mumbling. What was a quirk? Something to do with her shifting? She should ask.
“What's a qu-”
“I AM HERE!” a large man in another costume appeared, startling both her and Midoriya. He started talking. Apparently not even noticing Nimona. This went on for a few seconds before the man started smoking and in a quick “poof!”, a small, boney man was in his place.
“WHAT THE-!” she announced her shock. The now skinny man, turned to face her, panic in his eyes. Midoriya, who had also forgotten about her, started waving his hands around and yelling. This seemed to calm the skinny man down for some reason.
“Nimona!” she turned to face him “You can’t tell anyone about this alright?”
She blanked “Okay? Why..?”
“Wha- Because its All Might! If this kind of information got leaked, he could be killed!” She nodded even if it made no sense. Who would want to kill the twig? Her compliance, seemed to calm the kid down though. One point for Nimona!
“So what happened to him?” She grabbed one of All Might's arms, playing around with it.
“O-oh! Uh! He- um… There was an accident… and uh- he got really hurt! So now he can’t really stay in his strong form!” What kind of accident made a man into a twig? She decided to ask.
“I- What?” Midoriya looked confused. “I- I don’t know! He only told me earlier today!” All Might cleared his throat before speaking to Midoriya again. The language barrier was getting really annoying. She wanted to know what was going on!
They only talked for a few more minutes before Midoriya nodded his head and grabbed Nimona’s hand, dragging her away.
The two walked for a few minutes before they stopped outside an apartment building.
“This is where I live” Midoriya explained “I’ll see you around?” He looked hopeful, like he wasn’t completely sure if he would ever see the pinkette again
“See ya Midoriya!” She smiled as she watch him enter the building. Now she just had to figure out where she was staying for the night.
