Lucy Heartfilia loved mornings.
Especially when she could just take her time to wake up properly and this morning was definitely one of those. It was truly wonderful when she had nowhere important to go except back to the dreamland if she so wished. Then, when she’d finally get out of bed, she’d make breakfast and enjoy it while watching out of the window in the house she lived in.
Suddenly she felt a strong, muscular arm hold her tighter and someone press a sleepy kiss on the back of her neck. She smiled and intertwined her fingers with his, sighing contently. Lucy loved Natsu Dragneel from the bottom of her heart. They had been together for three years and the love that she felt for him was something she hadn’t even known to be able to feel and it had completely taken her off guard.
“Luce…” Natsu sleepily said, burying his face into her hair.
Lucy smiled to herself when he started snoring again. She didn’t know if Natsu was even aware of how much he loved to snuggle with her in the mornings but Lucy had decided to keep it as her own little secret but only because she didn’t want him to stop doing it. Blonde woman just loved it when Natsu showed her his softer side. It made him even cuter than he already was and Lucy couldn’t resist him at all then. She was pretty sure that Natsu knew that too because sometimes he used it on her when he wanted something.
Lucy blushed when she thought of the previous night and what they had spent it on. If someone had told her that she would end up sleeping with Natsu Dragneel when she joined Fairy Tail, she probably would have laughed because back then the salmon haired man hadn’t seemed like someone who was interested in such things. But it turned out that Lucy had been wrong about that because when they finally got together, things happened rather quickly and blonde learned that Natsu definitely had that seductive side as well.
Lucy’s thoughts were cut short when her stomach growled loudly. It hurt too. She swore silently as if to make sure that Natsu didn’t hear her but when she felt him smile into her hair, she just sighed. Her stomach growling had probably waken Natsu up.
“Sounds like you need to eat, Luce”, Natsu mumbled. “And good morning”, he added and pressed another kiss on her hair.
“Good morning, Natsu”, Lucy said and turned around to face him. “Also yeah, you’re absolutely right; I am hungry. It sucks though because I wanted to lay here with you.”
Natsu smiled. “Luce, we can always eat breakfast in bed.”
“Very true”, Lucy agreed. She snuggled closer and kissed him. “But I want morning cuddles more right now.”
“Fine with me, Luce”, Natsu mumbled and he pulled her closer to him. “I love mornings.”
Lucy smiled as she put her arm around his torso. “Me too.”
