“Usually touching another outside of your family in public is seen as too intimate,” Zuko said, approaching the subject slowly.
“Zuko, you let me touch your hair,” she said finally, but her voice was quiet, guarded. “Why do you let me do that?”

My take on the events immediately post the Last Agni Kai. Katara is alone in an enemy nation, winning the moment due to Zuko's sacrifice, but unknowing whether or not the rest of the Gaang was successful in their missions.
This is an aged up AU where the show takes place over the course of years.
